Your role and responsibilities

In this role, the Operations Manager of Distribution is responsible for supporting the fluctuating needs of a growing organization through process improvement initiatives and short- and long-term strategic planning of the operations. This position will lead cross-functional teams to improve processes and create standard operating procedures to achieve financial and operational excellence. The ideal candidate has exceptional verbal and written communication skills, and experience in driving successful results in retail, operational, service-related industry. Working hours is for 2nd shift, Mon - Fri 4:00pm - 12:30am cst.The work model for the role is: #LI - OnsiteThis role is contributing to the Electrification Installation Products Division in Byhalia, MS area.You will be mainly accountable for:•\tAct as a senior manager on site and coordinate activities with other operations managers on site. Participate in meetings and conferences and act as spokesperson for the organization on highly significant matters. Negotiate such matters as costs, design features and schedules with suppliers and customers. Provide guidance and arrange for training of staff. Provide administrative support to senior managers and advise less experienced supervisors regarding the more complex aspects of their assignments. Advise senior managers regarding such matters as most effective means of complying with new contract stipulations and improving customer relations.•\tInfluences accountability to plan, execute, and achieve objectives in order to implement process improvements that align with company strategy for growth and profit. Identifies patterns and anticipates needs to the business that will drive performance.•\tMonitor product quality and customer relations and initiate responsive measures, as applicable. Anticipate and introduce timely, effective actions to resolve problems. Manage and document employee performance and initiate responsive actions.•\tManage activities and initiate measures to ensure efficient operations and achieve long-term cost savings. Maintain awareness of new developments and technologies and direct subsequent investigations regarding their utilization.•\tDelivers quality solutions that meet the constraints of time, cost, and scope. Qualifications for the role

Bachelor’s degree in management, engineering or related field with 8 years of progressive experience in operations/warehouse management.Strong computer skills including, but not limited to Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and WMS Application.Lean training is a plusTravel less than 20%Candidates must already have a work authorization that would permit them to work for ABB in the US.
