At Johnson & Johnson, we all belong. **Position Summary:** The position will be located at the Ringaskiddy site and will be part of the Operations Team.  This position is responsible for managing Business Unit 1 cell culture within the Operations department. Manages a team of individual contributors and/or Supervisors, responsible for the delivery of the manufacturing areas annual outputs to meet planning and Patient demands. Responsibilities Include: · Leading operational aspects of their team (e.g., workflow, performance, and compliance), as well as ensuring achievement of team goals within established timelines and budgets. Integrates Johnson & Johnson’s Credo and Leadership Imperatives into team goals and decision making. · Maintaining and managing a team of high performance individuals to deliver the area output and commitment to the team development. Ensure performance is in line with departmental goals and expectations. Pursue opportunities to develop colleagues within Operations function. Accountable for conducting effective performance management. · Provide coaching and feedback to team and individuals to enable them to perform effectively. Promote a culture of continuous improvement and open communication. · Adheres to standard operating procedures to support initiatives, project plans, and key milestones related to the processing of ingredients and/or pharmaceutical products. · Supports the Supervision of day-to-day activities and resources. Advances any concerns or issues to leaders to improve successful business results. · Delivers process improvements to continually improve program quality, cost, and scheduling. · Ensure continued compliance to regulatory requirements while delivering business value. Maintains front-line knowledge of Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) and regulatory issues to efficiently lead project tasks in accordance with internal and external regulations and procedures. **Qualification** ESSENTIAL + Third level qualification in science or engineering discipline. + Minimum of 5 years of experience within a pharmaceutical or GMP regulated + Operations environment. + Experience in supervision/management of people and resources. DESIRABLE + Operations experience within a Life sciences or biopharmaceutical environment. + In depth understanding of Preculture, Cell Culture, Protein Purification, Ultrafiltration, Virus Filtration in an Operations Environment. + Knowledge Delta V), and PLC systems as they apply within an operating environment. + Experience of SAP or other business systems. + 6-Sigma/Kepner-Tregoe or similar problem solving/decision making methodology training.
