The Operations Manager will be responsible for leading an organization of approximately 30 personnel. The position requires a range of management and technical skills and a thorough understanding of plant systems, processes, policies, and procedures. **Essential Duties and Responsibilities** + Drives compliance to Albemarle Standards, Environmental regulations, MSHA regulations and HSE policies + Creates and maintains a respectful and inclusive work environment and maintains Albemarle’s core values + Develops and leads implementation of the strategic direction for Operations + Provides leadership and direction for the operating areas including daily production execution to plan + Provides leadership and guidance for meeting cost, yield and quality requirements + Drives Operational Discipline and Manufacturing Excellence + Leads the organization to drive incident investigations to root cause and implement corrective actions utilizing the hierarchy of control + Coaches and develops direct reports and cultivates an atmosphere of learning and development + Develops and maintains Operations KPIs to drive data-based decision making and improvements + Drives continuous improvement and lean manufacturing initiatives **Qualifications** + Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering + 5+ years of leadership experience in a chemical manufacturing environment + Demonstrated influential leadership skills + Knowledge of Process Safety Management + Strong facilitation and communication skills + Experience coaching and developing others + Strong problem-solving skills + Ability to work effectively in teams and with individuals at all levels within an organization **Preferred Skills and Experience** + Prior manufacturing experience, including Line Leadership + Lean Management or Six Sigma Green Belt certification + Knowledge of HR process, procedures, and policies **Benefits of Joining Albemarle** + Competitive compensation + Comprehensive benefits package + A diverse array of resources to support you professionally and personally.
