ABC News Production, Operations, and Engineering manages multiple functions to enable 24x7 newsgathering, production, and live operations for the news division. This includes designing and implementing technology solutions, facilitating the production of dozens of hours of content per day, and running operations for all facilities and bureaus globally. We are seeking an Operations Manager to support the team with project management, presentations, special projects, and administrative duties across the department.
What You Will Do:
Manage special projects to assist in improving the workflows and best practices within the departmentBuild and maintain project plans, outlining clear deliverables and working with key stakeholders to ensure successful implementationFacilitate information flow across departments, including creating distribution lists and meeting agendas to engage the appropriate stakeholders for each project.Create and maintain email distribution lists and communication channelsDevelop and document standard operating procedures, and create standard communications for issues and notifications - coordinate training for operations and engineeringCreate decks and templates for internal marketing, communications, and necessary updatesCommunicate ongoing initiatives, accomplishments, and technical updates and timely, relevant information to key stakeholdersCoordinate and schedule internal and external meetings for senior level executives and their teamsPerform administrative duties, including expense reports and travel arrangementsProactively identify opportunities for process improvementRequired Qualifications & Skills:
Minimum of 5 years of Coordinator or Production Assistant experience, ideally in a production settingExcellent collaboration skills and positive demeanor with the ability to be flexiblePassion for learning about production methods and the latest production technologyExperience with managing multiple projects effectively across multiple stakeholders, senior leaders, and business needsAbility to oversee multiple tasks and solve problems in a fast-paced environmentExcellent organizational and inter-personal skills and the ability to be a self-starterCalm under pressure and the flexibility to work on projects from various teams simultaneously.Skilled with workplace technology and applications, including Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Teams, AirTable, and OneDrive, including having the capability to optimize workflows and create highly professional documents.Experience writing professional copy for internal communications and documents, including agendas, newsletters, and presentations.Preferred Qualifications:

The hiring range for this position in New York is $98,600 to $132,000 per year. The base pay actually offered will take into account internal equity and also may vary depending on the candidate’s geographic region, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience among other factors. A bonus and/or long-term incentive units may be provided as part of the compensation package, in addition to the full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits, dependent on the level and position offered.
