Ferguson has a position open for an Operations Manager at our customer site located in City Of Industry, CA.
This position will support procurement of MRO – CUTTING TOOL materials at our customer location. This position would be onsite in a AEROSPACE manufacturing environment and would work side by side with our customer providing procurement services and operational logistics.
The Operations Manager is the point of contact for all local requests and works closely with various departments and partners through the facility to drive cost savings and implement efficiencies for plant functions.
Job Duties
Manage all business components of the location:
Leading the onsite customer’s internal logistics for all MRO – CUTTING TOOL productsBuild and maintain vendor relationships as well as customer relationshipsSupporting and Managing 2 Vending MachinesManaging spot buy purchases and receivingSourcing and procurement, reporting, cost reduction, and margin improvementReview and maintain inventory levelsAct within the scope of established objectives and policies to accomplish assigned goalsDevelop and recommend specific courses of action based on analysis of special requests for management or internally generated opportunitiesFormulate and implement policies on processes to improve service, enhance the supply chain, and increase return on investmentMaintain the safety and security of the Branch in accordance with OSHA standards and enforce all policies, rules, regulations and procedures set by the organizationMaintain documents according to record retention policyPerform 5S auditsEnsure cycle counts are being conductedParticipate in leadership meetings and represent associate concerns, policies and guidelines to the management teamRepresent the organization to customers, associates and leadership as neededQualifications
2 + years’ experience in purchasing/procurement requiredPurchasing/Supply Chain Management certification preferredExperience working in a union environment preferred**Prior INDUSTRIAL CUTTING TOOL industry experience preferredAbility to organize and prioritize workAbility to effectively communicate in writing & verballyAbility to develop and deliver effective presentations to groupsAbility to efficiently operate computers, tablets, and mobile devicesKnowledge of Microsoft Office software (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access, etc.)At Ferguson, we care for each other. $4,743.90 - $10,436.80-
Estimated Ranges displayed are Monthly for Salaried roles OR Hourly for all other roles.

This role is Bonus or Incentive Plan eligible.
