Operations Manager - Aircraft Fueling (ITP)

Reports to: General Manager

Location: Denver, Colorado | DIA

Salary:  $80,000.00 - $85,000.00 | commensurate with experience

Main accountabilities include:  

Fully responsible for all aspects of the station. Services offered at the station include ITP Fuelling and GSE Fueling services. Reviews data on incoming flights such as scheduled or estimated times of arrival or departure, destinations and downline station stop, in order to plan work activities. Directs and coordinates all operations functions and ensures workers and equipment are available for fueling and defueling services. Analyzes reports and records of operations and inspects facilities to determine effectiveness of existing methods and procedures and physical condition of facilities and equipment. Prepares and submits recommendations designed to improve efficiency of fueling services. Investigates causes of accidents and recommends safety measures for preventing further occurrences. Leading and working with the senior team to maintain and enhance appropriate, effective safety & security systems, risk assessments, periodical inspections & audits, operational training programs, planning, operational processes, and service delivery. Regularly interacts with customers to promote the station and to measure the level of customer satisfaction. Uses customer feedback to constantly develop and improve capabilities and processes. Implementation of the company policies and procedures, promoting sound safety, security, and people management practice Promoting and driving a ‘safety first’ culture through all levels of the organisation Ensure the business unit remains fully compliant with internal standards and all relevant industry, regulatory and state legislated requirement. Lead and motivate hard working teams to deliver excellent quality and productivity. Safety and security are the responsibility of each employee. Required to attend the mandatory training imposed by the Company and Airlines as per job role. Maintains all equipment records and monitors vehicle registration and hour meter program. Determines work procedures, prepares work schedules, and expedites workflow. Perform as a mentor to other employees and provide training to new employees. Some responsibilities may include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems as needed for violations of company policy. Complete shift reports and sign timecards Assist in the preparation of performance evaluation forms. Prepare disciplinary incident and/or termination reports. Conduct shift briefings to ensure staff is organized and informed. Comply with the company’s attendance/tardiness standards. Other duties may be assigned.

Qualifications and Experience

Bachelor's degree (B.A.) from four-year College or university; or five to ten years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Excellent leadership and people management skills Experience in business development, sales, and commercial negotiation & pricing Extensive management and/or support service experience, preferably in an in-to-plane fueling or ground equipment fueling environment. Strong communication and interpersonal skills balanced with a high level of confidence to influence and present at all levels. Interpersonal skills: Independence, decisiveness, and the ability to work accurately and independent of immediate support. Able to influence, engage and motivate at all levels. Flexible, determined to succeed and self-motivated. All applicants must hold the requisite employment authority to work in the USA. Must be at least 18 years of age. Must pass pre-employment physical test and a drug screen. Must have a current valid US driver’s license. Ability to proficiently read, write and speak English. Able to remain calm under pressure. Must be comfortable lifting 70lbs. Must pass FBI background check and obtain US Customs seal. Must be available and flexible to work variable shifts including weekends and holidays.
