POSITION: Facility Services Manager

ASM Global, the leader in privately managed public assembly facilities, has an excellent and immediate opening for the Facility Services Manager for ASM Global Jacksonville facilities. The Facility Services Manager shall be responsible for the general supervision of the Maintenance, Electrical and Engineering staff which is responsible for the operation, maintenance and repair of the maintenance, mechanical and electrical system at all ASM Global Jacksonville Facilities. The Manager shall assist in the responsibility for ensuring the facilities remain in compliance with applicable safety and building codes at all times and shall implement programs through subordinate staff to promote efficiency of labor, conservation of utilities, compliance with budgets and quality of service. This position will be a hands-on position.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Assist with fire and life safety and ADA compliance.Work closely with and coordinate with Facility, Production and Technology Managers to ensure that day-to-day needs of the facility are met as well as ensuring all events and setups/tear downs run smoothly.Scheduling and oversight of the facility housekeeping subcontractor.Implement and train all employees on the operating procedures, emergency plans and safety / risk management policies that conform to building and ASM Corporate standards.Assist with promoting, training, and monitoring for compliance with ASM Corporate operational best practices.Review contracts, speak with tenants and work with sub-contractors to determine special requirements. Inspect conversions, construction, and installation progress to ensure conformance to established specifications.Review, plan and manage changeover costs for event billing and labor analysis. Schedule appropriate operations and housekeeping staff, review quantity and quality of work performed.Monitor all clock-ins / outs and assigned breaks. Prepare and review all necessary documentation for approval of time keeping system.Responsibilities include but are not limited to scheduling of full and part time staff, ensuring work orders and PM’s are completed in a timely manner, keeping accurate stock of supplies (ordering as needed) and assisting in facilitating general condition of the facility (doors, lighting, maintenance items, damages, etc.)Conduct frequent facility inspections and note deficiencies and supervise necessary action plans for remediation.Utilize CMMS programs (ASM Maintenance) including comprehensive preventative maintenance system for facility fixed and moveable assets.Assist with research and recommend equipment, tools, materials and supplies to fulfill needs of the department.Responsible for venue building plans.Assist in the preparation of yearly operational and capital budget.Attend staff meetings as required. Develop and maintain a harmonious working relationship with staff and other departments.Assist with special projects at and around the facilities.Other duties may be assigned.Supervisory Responsibilities
Manage and supervise staff members who oversee various functions, including event conversions, housekeeping, facility inspections and scheduling of sub-contractors. Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring and training employees; planning, assigning and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.Qualifications

Excellent customer service skills are a must as the position requires frequent interaction with customers, vendors, and visitors to the facilities.Work independently, exercising effective judgment and initiative.Organize and prioritize work to meet deadlines.Work effectively under pressure and/or stringent schedule and produce accurate results.Remain flexible and adjust to situations as they occur.Ability to read and comprehend blueprints, drawings, and other related materials.Follow oral and written instructions and communicate effectively with others in both oral and written form.Familiar with terminology and procedures of the Sports & Entertainment industry.Ability to make mathematical calculations.FL Class E Driver's License is required prior to appointment & must be maintained.Ability to operate motor vehicles with gross vehicle weight ratings of 26,000 pounds or more such as bucket trucks.Proficiency in AutoCAD programs and implementing programs as required for event seating diagrams and other projects at the facility preferred.Be proficient in basic computer skills operating in standard word, spreadsheet, email, CMMS and BAS programs.Education and/or Experience
Minimum five (5) years supervisory role in responsible management and operational capacity in the industrial or commercial maintenance and repair of industrial or commercial facilities. Experience in the operation of a public assembly, hotel or other commercial facility is preferred.Formal education in Mechanical and/or Electrical or Building Construction is desired.CFM or FMP through IFMA is preferredPossess any additional licenses, certificates or training required by local, state or national authorities for the operations of the equipment found in the facility.Physical Demands
