Summary:
The Operations Manager oversees warehouse and production activities as well as expenses and profitability. This role is responsible for ensuring that all plant operations including transportation, production, and warehouse, are conducted within the company guidelines in a safe environment, while costs are maintained within the department budget.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Strategic Planning and Operational Management:
+ Participate in developing and managing budgeted resources and assets, ensuring alignment with the company's strategic plans and financial objectives.
+ Create efficiencies through growth and continuous improvement of processes, ensuring operations align with overall corporate goals.
+ Develop and implement goals, objectives, and performance standards for the department, monitoring and achieving targeted outcomes.
+ Be a proactive member of the branch’s management team, contributing to the strategic planning and implementation of business strategies.
2. Compliance and Quality Assurance:
+ Assure compliance with federal, state, and local performance requirements with a high focus on Quality Assurance (QA) programs.
+ Oversee all compliance systems and processes to ensure all activities and materials adhere to company ethics and compliance standards.
+ Liaison with other departments to develop processes that solve inter-departmental challenges and enhance overall operational efficiency.
+ Manage the departmental budget and control expenses effectively, maintaining financial discipline and cost efficiency.
3. Team Leadership and Development:
+ Improve and maintain training programs for all operational areas, enhancing team skills and competencies.
+ Develop team-building strategies and foster cohesiveness among all team members to create a productive and engaging work environment.
+ Provide coaching, reviews, and other forms of feedback to develop team capabilities and achieve high performance.
+ Demonstrate flexibility in satisfying customer demands, ensuring responsive and adaptable service delivery.
4. Continuous Improvement and Problem Solving:
+ Initiate problem-solving and continuous process improvement strategies across various departments, focusing on enhancing productivity and operational efficiency.
+ Develop the appropriate performance measurements for the department, using data and feedback to guide improvements and adaptations.
+ Influence peers, subordinates, management, and work cross-functionally to implement effective solutions and achieve consensus.
+ Grasp processes quickly and prioritize tasks effectively, ensuring timely and impactful actions are taken.
What you Bring to Pacific Seafood:
Required:
+ Bachelor’s degree in Logistics, Supply Chain, Aquaculture, or related field
+ 5+ years of related experience or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Preferred:
+ Prior experience in the food industry.
+ Bilingual in English and Spanish.
+ Forklift Certification
+ HACCP certification
+ Microsoft Office Suite
+ Power BI Knowledge
+ Vocollect Knowledge
Salary Range: $72,075 - $ 90,094 annually
