Position Summary: As an Operations Manager, you'll report directly to the Terminal Manager, providing leadership and management oversight for the Prep, Switching, and Mechanical departments. You'll be responsible for key aspects of the operation, including hiring and training new talent, conducting safety meetings, managing workflow, and ensuring strict compliance with safety standards and customer requirements. With Kaizen experience, you'll continuously seek opportunities to streamline processes and enhance service quality. What You'll Do: + Lead and manage daily operations in the Vehicle Handling department. + Apply Kaizen principles to identify opportunities for process improvement, increase operational efficiency, and enhance service quality. + Interview, hire, and train new associates to ensure a highly skilled and motivated workforce. + Conduct daily planning meetings and safety briefings. + Ensure compliance with Safety, SOPs, and customer requirements. + Oversee and ensure adherence to OSHA, EPA, FRA, DOT and other regulatory standards through audits and inspections. + Drive continuous improvement initiatives using your Kaizen expertise to boost team performance and service efficiency. + Exercise independent judgment on critical decisions, including hiring, promotions, and other employee status changes. What You Bring: + High School Diploma or GED required. + Supervisory experience with a focus on operations management. + Kaizen or Lean manufacturing experience is a must, with a proven track record of implementing process improvements. + Microsoft Office proficiency is required. + A valid state driver's license. + Strong leadership skills, a can-do attitude, and a safety-first mentality. + Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple tasks efficiently.
