Operations-Marketing Internship (Graduate, MBA)

As part of our summer intern team, you'll gain hands-on experience in our Marketing Department and receive valuable feedback to support your development. At the end of your internship, you'll present your project deliverables to the Executive Team and our department leaders.    INTERNSHIP OVERVIEW  Biodesix’s manufacturing department designs and assembles FDA-regulated blood specimen collection kits, which are distributed to healthcare providers for Biodesix's lung cancer diagnostic tests. This internship will focus on analyzing the kit distribution and return process. The final deliverable will be a presentation to senior leadership with recommendations to improve business efficiencies while meeting customer needs.    RESPONSIBILITIES  Collaborate with cross-functional teams to explore business operations and collect inputs for department projects.  Work with the Marketing Team to understand the clinical diagnostics industry and business objectives.  Work with the Manufacturing Team to analyze current kit distribution and return processes and costs.  Work with the Sales Team to understand customer expectations and stocking scenarios.  Attend meetings and support ongoing marketing projects as needed.  Meet with operations experts to build an understanding of the kit supply chain and identify process improvements.    REQUIREMENTS & EDUCATION  Currently enrolled in a Master of Business Administration (MBA) program. Coursework in Operations Management, preferred.  Proficiency in operational models and business case development.  Ability to create clear, concise presentations with recommendations for process improvements.  Strong analytical, problem-solving, and critical thinking skills.  Strong oral and written communication skills.    COMPENSATION:  Hourly Rate $21.00    DEADLINE TO APPLY: January 10, 2025      Biodesix is an equal opportunity employer.
