Operations Materials Manager

Eaton’s Electrical division is currently seeking a Operations Materials Manager to join our team in Raleigh, NC.

 

Relocation will be offered within the United States. 

 

The Operations Materials Manager is responsible for managing the internal materials & scheduling processes required inside an Eaton factory in order to drive the maximum adherence to the Master Production Schedule provided by the Network Planning team through the SIOP process.

 

The expected annual salary range for this role is $93,750 - $137,500 a year.

What you’ll do:

 

Responsible for managing materials flow and transactions of inventory to support the plant’s operations by deploying lean material flow. Responsible for the administration of Indirect and MRO purchasing function according to policies and practices determined by Eaton standards. Responsible for generating short-term production scheduling aligned the plan defined by the Network.Responsible for monitoring execution of production schedule defined by the Network (schedule labor on factory floor, monitor execution of the production plan)Responsible for escalation of material availability to the COE and Network teams.Drive forecast attainment aligned with the MPS resulted from the SIOP plan.Execute shipment schedule aligned with the customer priority dates aligned with the network and customer service team. Champion and deploy continuous improvement leveraging tools such as internal assessments (MMA, OPA), visual management, standard work, and value stream mapping. Responsible for maintaining target inventory levels and meeting OTD goals for both internal and external customers and overall freight targets (including premium freight) aligned with the plan defined by the network.Responsible for plant owned data health activities including but not limited to routings and WMS system, MRO, shipping and receiving, part movements, production scheduling. This role is a point of contact to escalations related to execution of the overall SIOP plan.Ensures quality of shipping documentation to meet corporate financial and customer audit requirements.Devises and manages physical inventory audit methodology which meets corporate, governmental and customer specificationsEvaluates operational performance of the group in order to facilitate performance management, merit promotions, job transfers, dismissals, commendations, etc.Qualifications:

Required (Basic) Qualifications:

 

Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited institutionMinimum five (5) years’ combined experience in Materials, Operations and/or Supply Chain Management within a manufacturing environment Minimum 3 years of related professional and supervisory/Managerial experience.Must be authorized to work in the United States without company sponsorship now or in the future.

 

Preferred qualifications:

Masters in Business Administration from an accredited institutionFull knowledge of materials planning systems (MRP/ERP) requirements and order generation process logicExperience/Education in forecasting, product line structures, and business cycles.Experience coordinating, implementing, and continually improving computerized scheduling system.Experience with Continuous Improvement Teams& Lean Manufacturing/Continuous Improvement Kaizen LeadershipExperience leading physical inventory processes and inventory audit programsExperience initiating, and monitoring cycle counting procedure to inspect and insure inventory on-hand accuracy.Travel may be required for this position, up to 10% of total work timeExcellent communications skills – verbal, written and electronicCapability of managing change Strong Computer / systems skills – Microsoft office products, ERP / MRPContinuous improvement mindsetStrong accountability focus
