Operations Planning & Analysis Manager

Summary:

 

The Manager, Operations Planning and Analysis plays a critical role in the overall performance of Grifols Centers by providing strategic and tactical initiatives together with the Director of Operations Planning and Analysis and the Senior Director of Operations.  They are part of the Leadership team of the assigned GEO (3 GEOs for Us operations) and help drive positive business results as advisor, trainer, analyst, innovator, and controller.  They also take on specialist roles within the Operations Planning and Analysis department, thus impacting overall company results as well.

 

Primary Responsibilities:

Reports Directly to Director, Operations Planning and Analysis with a dotted line to the Senior Director of Operations of the assigned GEO. GEO Subject Matter Expert on volume, donor compensation, labor, Cost per liter and all Operations metrics in addition to current guidelines and policies impacting these areas. Crucial member of the GEO Leadership team with responsibility for Operations performance results of up to 100 centers with annual expense budgets of up to $700M. Leads the GEO Operations annual budget process for volume, donor compensation, and labor as well as all interim forecasting (daily, weekly, monthly). Teams with GEO leadership to develop monthly donor compensation tactics to meet overall strategy using competitive intelligence and modeling to make decisions. Coordinates with other Departments as a liaison to the GEO such as Marketing, HR, and Business Optimization. Actively involved in assisting marketing campaigns, labor modeling, and business optimization initiatives. Partners with the regional "ROMs" of the GEO to target underperforming centers and develop action plans.        Participate and provide financial update and analysis for Regional and GEO calls and meetings.       Designs and implements new reporting and or analysis to assist all centers and Company leadership with making better decisions. Responsible for all ad hoc and what if analysis scenario modeling for the GEO and or full company. Master level in Excel and intermediate/advanced POWER BI skills. In addition to GEO specific reporting, the Manager of Operations Planning and Analysis will be responsible for several overall company reports for Volume, Labor, Donor compensation, and other metrics to keep the Field and Senior management apprised of how we are tracking on forecast, budget, and various initiatives. Provides mentoring and guidance to GEO team members (SDO, ROM, and Center Managers) plus corporate departments as needed. Teach financial and Operations courses to the operational management at the Grifols Academy as needed. Additional Responsibilities as assigned by Department Head or GEOI Leadership

 

 

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

Strong knowledge in different areas of Finance and Operations including but not limited to budgeting, reporting, financial systems, labor management, production, cost control and financial/operations policies and procedures. Excellent written and verbal communication skills.  Excellent management and strategic thinking and problem solving skills. Ability to analyze and interpret data, identify errors and prepare reports. Technical expertise and strong operational and project management skills. Effective team building and leadership skills. Excellent oral and written communication skills. Ability to effectively collaborate and work with all levels within a global matrix driven organization. Master level of Excel with intermediate/advanced POWER BI or similar skills. Proficiency in Statistical Analysis software such as R, SPSS, SAS, or Tableau.

 

Education and Experience:

Bachelor's degree in Business, Economics or related field.  Master's degree preferred.           Typically requires 8 years of related experience. Experience working in a multi cost center structure a plus. POWER BI experience a plus.           Depending on the area of assignment, directly related experience or a combination of directly related education and experience and/or competencies may be considered in place of the stated requirements.  Example:  If a job level requires a Bachelor’s degree plus 4 years of experience, an equivalency could include 8 years of experience, an Associate’s degree with 6 years of experience, or a Master’s degree with 2 years of experience.                                   

 

Occupational Demands Form # 1:  Work is performed in an office environment with exposure to electrical office equipment. Frequently sits for 6-8 hours per day. Repetitive hand movement of both hands with the ability to make fast, simple, repeated movements of the fingers, hands, and wrists.   Occasionally walks. Occasionally bends and twists neck.  Light to moderate lifting and carrying objects with a maximum lift of 25lbs. Occasionally drives to site locations and travels within the United States.  Able to communicate complex information and ideas so others will understand; with the ability to listen to and understand information and ideas presented through spoken words and sentences. Frequently interacts with others, relates sensitive information to diverse groups. Ability to apply abstract principles to solve complex conceptual issues. Performs a wide range of complex tasks as dictated by variable demands and changing conditions with little predictability as to the occurrence.       

 

   

Pay Scale:

 

The estimated pay scale for the Operations Planning and Analysis Manager role based in the United States is $110,286.00 - $165,429.00 per year. Additionally, the position is eligible to participate up to 8% in the company bonus pool. Final compensation packages will ultimately depend on education, experience, skillset, knowledge, where the role is performed, internal equity and market data.
