We're on the lookout for talented and motivated Manufacturing Engineering Interns, or similar related engineering major, to join our team to support production leadership by bringing new ideas to help process improvement. If you're passionate about manufacturing and process improvement and also eager to learn, we want to hear from you! As a Process Improvement Intern, you'll be an integral part of our manufacturing team, working closely with our experienced Shift Managers and Process Improvement Leaders. You'll gain hands-on experience in understanding our current business needs and processes and optimizing efficiencies with our plastic blow molding operation and assisting with various process-related tasks. Responsibilities: + Collaborate with Shift Manager, Process Improvement Leaders and Technicians on how to best optimize our plastic blow molding processes. + Work with shift leaders to implement 6S on production lines and develop sustainability initiatives. + Assist with improving flash containment to help with the reduction of scrap loss and time wasted picking up plastic flash. + Standardize the daily work across different shifts for Forklift Drivers and reduce wasted time and improve efficiency. + Conduct testing and experiments to improve product quality and efficiency. + Collect and analyze data to identify areas of process improvements. + Assist in the development of standard operating procedures (SOPs). + Ensure compliance with safety and quality standards. + Collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive process enhancements. + Learn and grow by actively participating in training and mentorship programs. Upon completion of the internship, interns present their accomplishments and experience to the Executive Team. + Long-term career potential Qualifications Qualifications: + Currently pursuing or recent completion of a degree in Manufacturing Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering or a related field. + Eagerness to learn and a strong passion for manufacturing with a continuous improvement mindset. + Hands on approach when solving manufacturing process related issues + Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills. + Strong communication and teamwork abilities. + Ability to work in a fast-paced and dynamic environment. + Basic knowledge of manufacturing processes is a plus.
