As an Operations Program Manager (OPM) supporting our Resilient Navigation Solutions (RNS) program, you'll be at the heart of driving our manufacturing excellence forward.

What You Will Do:

Operational Leadership: Oversee and coordinate the operational aspects of ongoing projects, serving as the vital link between program management, project teams, and factory management.Project Assessment & Monitoring: Identify project issues early and develop mechanisms to track and monitor progress, ensuring we stay on target and on schedule.Strategic Decision-Making: Make impactful decisions on manufacturing plans, represent the factory in make/buy decisions, and drive technical/producibility trades and cost reduction initiatives.Collaborative Problem Solving: Engage with cross-functional teams, including Engineering, Supply Chain, Value Stream Managers, and Program Managers, to tackle challenges and ensure smooth operations.Material & Cost Management: Determine and report material coverage, establish material requirements based on factory demand, and manage estimates at completion and cost accounts.Daily Interaction: Work closely with functional and factory resources to ensure all program requirements are met, maintaining adherence to delivery schedules, cost targets, and performance standards.

Qualifications You Must Have:

Typically requires a degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) unless prohibited by local laws/regulations and minimum 8 years prior relevant experience or an Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 5 years of experience or in absence of a degree, 12 years of relevant experienceThe ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government issued security clearance is required . U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance PRISM/Manufacturing Requirements System & Touch Labor Analysis: Proficiency in performing material demand analysis, determining product build status, accessing and understanding planning tools, and conducting touch labor analysis.Operations & Manufacturing Experience: Demonstrated experience guiding teams in operations, manufacturing, program management, cross-functional, or equivalent environments.Adaptability in Dynamic Environments: Flexibility and agility to work effectively in an undefined development environment where processes and procedures may not always exist.

Qualifications We Prefer:

Cost Account Management & Financial Reporting: Provide Estimate at Completion (EAC) and variance analysis for programs. Forecast and report on bookings and net sales for the area of control. Earned Value Certification is required.Risk & Opportunity Management: Manage risks and opportunities within the area of control, ensuring proactive identification and mitigation.Technical & Computer Skills: Advanced proficiency in MS Excel and MS PowerPoint. Experience with shop floor control systems to monitor progress, non-conformities (NCs), and current execution status, as well as documentation systems to validate as-built configurations, alternates, engineering change notices (ECNs), and change history.Process & Proposal Management: Knowledge of processes such as IPDS, Common PDM, R6s, PRISM/Apex, VM, and CMES. Experience in proposal writing, estimating, and understanding transition to manufacturing planning/scheduling concepts.Leadership & Team Collaboration: Experience in motivating teams in a manufacturing environment, overseeing planning and engineering efforts, solving problems, and developing key team members while interfacing across all functions.

The salary range for this role is 96,000 USD - 200,000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.
