The New Product Introduction team (NPI) works within the Collins Management System (CMS) to achieve successful design and production while delivering exceptional quality standards. The NPI team is comprised of Operations Program Managers (OPM), Manufacturing Production Specialists (MPS), and Department Support Coordinators (DSC.) NPI and the CMS framework guides design and production over the entire lifecycle of the product to ensure product maturity milestones are established and achieved.

This role will be performed ONSITE in our Collins Aerospace location in Cedar Rapids, IA.

What You Will Do

Acts as Operations focal for New Product Introduction, compliant with the Collins Management SystemParticipates in Gate Reviews from conception through Gate5 transitionEstablishes review and transition criteria which indicate predictable quality, schedule and costCreates, Communicates and Drives adherence to the Manufacturing Transition and Build planOversees Operation’s Control Account Management DutiesDevelops recommendations for cost reduction and process improvement opportunitiesFacilitates and directs program scheduling activities through PP&C and the integrated management scheduleLeads materials and logistics problem resolution when related to performative issuesOccasional travel of one trip per quarter.Influences decisions in a matrixed organizationIdentifies and communicates risks to program and project planEncourages resolution-based conversations and drives cross functional team to actionInterfaces with Program Office, and Engineering, and Operations Manufacturing

Qualifications You Must Have

Typically requires a University Degree and minimum 8 years prior relevant experience or an Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 5 years of experience or in absence of a degree, 12 years of relevant experience The ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government issued security clearance is required ​U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance

The salary range for this role is 101,000 USD - 203,000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.
