Frontier Technology Inc., is looking for an Operations Project Manager to support the Space Operations Group. This candidate will help to oversee the logistics, program security, systems administration, configuration management, data analytics, and technological advancement. This position will apply the methodologies, data, and decision support tool capabilities we developed under the our Small Business Innovation Research (SBIR) program. Your work as part of our team will advance this unique set of capabilities in powerful new ways for US Space Force as we deliver Improved Ground System Readiness. This position requires at least a DOD Top Secret/SCI clearance (SAP Eligible) and is located in Colorado Springs, CO
ResponsibilitiesThe Operations Project Manager will be instrumental in the planning and management of employees and a successful delivery of program capabilities, this position requires a high-level of technical expertise as well as organization, leadership and communication skills. The ideal candidate will be responsible for providing project planning and management for established technology insertion initiatives. This role relies heavily on strong communication skills, including the ability to provide clear recommendations to leadership, influence organizational change, and work cross-functionally with multiple contractors and the Government customer.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
Helps support the management of all elements of assigned project activities from inception to completion.Helps support preparing and reporting Operations Group status and financial results to upper management and external customers.Helps manage various project budgets and P&L.Helps to provide complex, efficient, and detailed reporting and analysis in a fast-paced environment.Effective communicator and team builder who promotes a strong corporate culture through written and verbal communications.Understands the organizational strategy, adjusting to shifts in the strategy as needed.Works under limited supervision and direction.Regularly exercises discretionary and substantial decision-making authority.Initiates new business and is responsible planning, organizing, and leading large or more complex programs and projects.Focuses on program and projects monitoring, control, team integration, and change integration.Performs projects completion and team management, defining and driving project deliverables.Helps develop statements of work in response to government requests for proposals (RFPs).Leads briefings and discussions with program management and other essential personnel.Strong team player, embracing collaboration with diverse team of Government, SETA, developers, users and supporting FFRDCs.Coordinate with product owners and software developers to log enhancements and test new versions/releases of FTI Tools and technology capabilities. Education/Qualifications Bachelor’s Degree required, advanced degree or professional certifications a plus.Active DoD Top Secret/SCI.Minimum of 6 years of DoD space program related experience.Strong sense of personal accountability regarding decision-making and supervising department teams.Experience with management and collaborative tools such as Confluence, Jira, and SharePoint.Experience structuring course of action assessments, facilitating cost-benefit analyses, and conducting business case analysis.Skilled at analyzing, visualizing, and telling stories with data.Experience with space systems and military customers, terminology, and processes.Advanced skills with the Microsoft Office suite, especially Excel and PowerPoint.#LI-EB1
