Operations - Regulatory Reporting – Analyst/ Associate

J.P. Morgan Chase Bank NA (JPMCB) is a single bank branch in Mumbai rapidly expanding its revenue business in India. 

Job summary:

As an Analyst/Associate within our Regulatory Reporting team, you will be responsible for preparing various reports required to be submitted to multiple regulators like RBI, FIU, DRI etc. You will also handle internal, RBI, Statutory and Concurrent audits, and work closely with other functions of the bank like Trading desk, Compliance, Technology partners etc. This role provides an opportunity to support liquidity management activities and requires a strong background of Regulatory Reporting and sound knowledge of treasury products like FX Forwards, Swaps, Options, Government Securities etc.

Job responsibilities:

Preparing Regulatory reports, end to end reconciliation and submission to regulator  Preparing & dissemination of Internal MIS to relevant stake holders Preparing “Risk Based supervision” data point and performing variance analysis Monitoring of Nostro Reconciliation break daily and circulating MIS on outstanding items with aging Automating regulatory reporting by liaising with technology partners Preparing the regional KPI reports and impact assessment of new business initiatives on regulatory reporting  Taking responsibility of maintaining & providing the highest quality data to audit, timely & satisfactory resolution of audit queries to ensure that Audit report is issued on time. Coordinating with other operation, trade support, finance team, Compliance, Legal for control management Establishing effective partnerships with internal stakeholders in several areas of the bank in different capacities Following best practice and procedure to ensure no control breaches Reviewing & Updating Standard Operating process documents 

Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills:

Good product understanding for Treasury Products like FX Forward, Swaps, Options, Government Securities, Treasury Bills etc. Minimum 4 years of relevant work experience Good Bank & NBFC regulatory Knowledge Strong ability to identify problems and propose solutions and good product knowledge Automation mindset to creating efficiency and enhance controls. Exhibits initiative to raise issues to appropriate staff when needed Demonstrates flexibility and willingness to accept new assignments and challenges in a rapidly changing environment Good communication and relationship/partnership-building skills both with team members as well as other business partners and clients. Strong PC skills in Microsoft Suite (e.g. Word, Excel, PowerPoint).

Preferred qualifications, capabilities, and skills:

Post graduate degree preferably CA or MBA in finance.
