Tasks and Qualifications:Tasks & Qualifications:You must be a full-time student at an accredited U.S. college or university.Actively pursuing a degree in Operations Research, Industrial Engineering, Supply Chain, or equivalent field.Currently a junior or senior.Key responsibilities include, but not limited to:Analysis/Design Cycle:Process design for supply chain applications in warehouse environmentsDevelop/Design simulation models in Python/AutoMod programming languageDevelop and test enhanced/optimized solutions for existing processesDevelop and test optimization algorithms for proposed solutionsProduct/Project Development Cycle:Discuss project and algorithm design requirements with internal team and customerImplement and test algorithms to production softwareProvide technical support to developers during and after implementation cycleR&D Cycle:Understand the companies’ current product/process offeringTrack the current process or product limitations and propose improvement plansDocument the current process and the proposed processCommunicate with stakeholders for R&D goalsLead/Perform work on R&D effort, which include but not limited to:Create data inputModel current process/productDesign future process/productModel future process/productPresent findings to big group audienceSales Cycle:Provide technical support to salesUnderstand, analyze, and document existing operations/requirementsData parsing, processing, and profilingWrite project proposals for distribution center operations detailing recommended solutionsJustify financial investment in proposed solutionsPresent analysis findings to internal team and customerRequirements:Experience or knowledge in the Supply Chain/Logistics industry. Focus on distribution center operations preferred.Preferred coursework to include:SimulationProgrammingOperations Research (Linear/Non-linear/Integer/Dynamic Programming)Stochastic ProcessesSupply Chain/Logistics/Warehousing/TransportationBackground/skills at:Critical thinkingData science and machine learning/statistical approachData parsing and manipulationSimulation modelingMathematical optimization (algorithm development) of processes and systemsInferential statistical analysis skillsLinear and non-linear regression modelingROI (Return On Investment) analysis skillsRisk analysis skillsObject-oriented programming skills – Python (preferred), Java or C++.Data analysis skills – Python (preferred), or R.Writing skills to create business documents (proposals, system specifications, and presentations) using both MS Word and PowerPoint.Participate in various Future Talent Programming events, such as weekly professional development sessions, a team-based innovation challenge and endless development opportunities
