Operations & Resilience Risk Management Manager – 7 months fixed term contract

As ING Australia’s Operations & Resilience Risk Management Manager, you’ll enjoy huge exposure with our Risk and Executive Committee where you’ll have the chance to contribute ING, Australia’s most recommended bank. 

Reporting to the Lead of Operations & Resilience Risk Management, you’ll be an expert with the second line of defence, acting as a trusted advisor in the implementation of the NFR framework and other applicable frameworks. You’ll have a broad range of risk expertise to cover all relevant classes of non-financial risk and have deep expertise in one or more of the areas relating to operational risk.

What you’ll do

Provide expert advice and assurance on the implementation of the Non-financial Risk Management framework, and associated policies, procedures and control standards, focussing on operations, fraud, continuity and resilience riskAssist the Lead of OpRes and the Head of NFR in the overall and ongoing development, embedding and management of non-financial risk management and its associated frameworks across the business which includes but not limited to training and knowledge sharing across teams on various risk topics.Effective review and challenge of business decisions and activities in line with the 3LOD.Contribute to overall NFR development and strategic initiativesContribute to NFR reporting including but not limited to, the business unit’s Non-financial Risk profile, emerging risks and effectiveness of the NFR Framework including associated policies and procedures.

What we’re looking for

Sound understanding of operational risk including the frameworks and in practice with expertise across a number or risk classesFinancial Services and/or risk management background with minimum of 8 years’ experience - previous experience in Wholesale Banking, Financial Markets and/or Treasury (risk or business) highly advantageousAwareness of current industry threats, trends and issues that potentially affect the Bank's business with a sound understanding of risk systems and information (ideally OpenPages GRC System)Exceptional time and priority management and ability to operate effectively under time pressure with sharp attention to detailStrong MS Office skills, including Excel, Word, PowerPoint and AccessAbility to manage conflicting priorities and dependencies between competing priorities
