The Operations Safety Clerk will input a high volume of data from multiple sources into databases, track various filling systems for completion and accuracy, assist in general Operations, HR, and Safety administrative duties.This position requires full-time on-site work at our SE Portland office conveniently located at 92nd and Powell with nearby free public transportation access. Normal work hours Monday - FridayCompetitive benefits offering Medical, Dental and Vision Coverage Holiday pay Paid time off 401(K) Employee assistance program Responsibilities: Uses a variety of software programs and online platforms to accurately document all injury, accident, and incident reports.Inform and assist operators with DOT physical expirations.Review data for deficiencies or errors and works with report owners on corrections.Follow up with employees and other departments, as needed, to obtain incomplete or missing information.Compiles data and generates reports.Creates employee files, scans documents for electronic storage, and files hard copy documents.Maintains electronic filing systems using SharePoint and TeamsMaintains compliance with WebRisk reporting and employee credentials.Maintains FTA Drug & Alcohol Random testing pool. Orders and tracks completion of mandated FTA Drug and Alcohol tests and resultsResponds to queries for information and accesses relevant files.Assists Operations in data entry related to time keeping and attendance.May assist in daily cash counting and reconciliation of passenger fares and prepare cash receipts for bank deposit.Assist HR Department in initial employee recruitment and on-boarding functions.Performs other duties as assigned.Education, Licensing, and Certifications Required:High school diploma or equivalentExperience Required: Two (2) years of clerical work in an office setting. Skills and Knowledge Required: Accurate data entry keystrokes with adequate speed.Ability to pay close attention to details, and present good planning, organization, and time management skills.Computer skills with a good working knowledge of Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook, SharePoint, and Teams). Ability to utilize other departmental and Company software programs.Must be able to multi-task, work effectively with interruptions, and meet or exceed production and quality goals. Excellent customer service, interpersonal, and written and verbal communication skills.Ability to handle confidential or sensitive information or issues.Must demonstrate ability to work in a team environment and willingness to assume additional or new responsibilities readily.Ability to work effectively with a diverse workforce.Ability to work in a cubicle office environment with close by proximity to other co-workers.Travel requirement: Local within the Portland area less than 5%.Pre-Employment Requirements: Must successfully pass drug testing & criminal background check.
