We are looking for an Operations Scheduler I to join our team!

What You Will Do:

Schedules, organizes, coordinates, and dispatch work assignments for system-wide field operations daily. Receives and schedules emergency calls. Coordinates and schedules department’s activities with customer requests for line locations and excavation projects. Receives and processes city clearances for meter work. Resolves Customer Care requests, including meter sets, incorrect addresses, and customer complaints. Resolves errors in addresses, service lines, and mapping. Assists Pre-Construction personnel with processing commercial and residential meter sets, by resolving discrepancies. Generates appropriate paperwork for service line changes and main extensions. Prepares miscellaneous reports for operations field functions. Issues and completes service orders. Scans emergency orders and unsafe condition notices into the record management system. Confirms and verifies information with city and county building officials.

Who You Are:

0-2 years related experience. Knowledge of basic math.

Interpersonal relationship skills. Basic computer skills (Excel, Word, CIS). Ability to communicate orally and in writing effectively, with internal and external customers. Ability to multi-task and work in stressful situations. Ability communicate to clear instructions and evaluate results. Ability to handle complaints and problems with minimal supervision. May require on-call, shift work, weekend, and/or holiday work for project completion.

Education Level:

High School Diploma or GED required

Physical Requirements (Include but are not limited to):

Grasping, kneeling, light – moderate lifting (objects up to 20 pounds), reaching above shoulder, repetitive motion, typing, sitting, standing, visual requirement (able to see screens, detect color coding, read fine print), hearing requirement and the ability to sit at a computer for long periods of time.

Ability to: understand, remember and apply oral and/or written instructions or other information, understand complex problems and collaborate/explore alternative solutions, organize thoughts and ideas into understandable terminology, organize and prioritize work schedule on a short-term basis, make decisions which have moderate impact on the immediate work unit and monitor impact outside this area, understand and follow basic instructions and guidelines, complete routine forms, compose letters, outlines, memoranda and basic reports and communicate with individuals via telephone.
