Summary: The Operations Specialist will provide support to the Navy Medicine Operational Training Command (NMOTC). The NMOTC Information Management and Technology Department IT Service Area activities are performed in close cooperation and coordination with, but not limited to: Application Integration and Business Intelligence Support, Desktop Support Services, IT Operations, Customer Portfolio Management and Cyber Support Services. Services are typically accomplished through integrated product or project teams, comprised of Government and Contractor personnel. The NMOTC Information Management and Technology Department and the associated IT Enterprise provides services to over 100,000 end-users world-wide to include 1,300 unique operational medicine program owners across Navy Medicine, individual projects, laboratories, and other Fleet and Fleet Marine Force medical organizations. Responsibilities Essential Job Functions: Assist with preparation of documentation to procure hardware, software, maintenance, licensing and supporting supplies to include the preparation of required documentation for procurement through this contract or through purchasing card. Provide direct support to NMOTC COR for all technical compliance reviews of procurement support tasks and application governance compliance reviews Communicate with external offices to maintain logistic compliance policies for all procurement packages and application development governance Utilize various software applications, web sites and corporate systems to obtain and analyze data Validate products and services to ensure all technical configurations and standards have been met before official acceptance of products or services by government personnel Communicate with command financial and logistical personnel in tracking procurements and receipt of products and services Manage smart phone and cell phone communication documents in support of approximately 40 command communication devices Setup and manage communication device accounts and provide basic troubleshooting for issue resolution Manage documentation of approximately 74 multi-functional devices across the enterprise in support of all command print/scan/fax services Manage internet commercial wireless accounts in support of all command wireless services and communicate with the vendor to resolve any technical or account issues. Perform miscellaneous office duties in support of training, safety, facilities, and other general office support functions Apply hardware and software technical standards, configurations, and requirements Provide written supporting documentation to procure hardware, software, and technical services Develop and apply standard operating procedures to execute and support various business processes Utilize WORD, ADOBE, and EXCEL software applications daily Provide effective communication and customer service skills, both via email and in person Apply logistical compliance and application development governance Manage smart phones and cell phones, multi-functional devices, and commercial internet wireless device service accounts Provide written communication to various command departments/offices to write and validate Memorandums of Agreement and Understanding for IT technical services Understand DoD/DON/DHA/BUMED/NMOTC policies, procedures, and standards to ensure information systems conform with procurement standards Manage multiple project timelines and meeting deadlines in a timely manner Perform other duties as assigned. Qualifications Necessary Skills and Knowledge: Strong understanding of networking concepts. Basic knowledge of IT security practices, including firewalls, endpoint protection, and patch management. Strong problem-solving and analytical skills. Excellent communication and documentation abilities. Ability to work effectively under pressure and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment. Strong attention to detail and commitment to ensuring system reliability. Minimum Qualifications: Minimum 3 years of relevant experience. Strong technical background in systems administration, networking, and IT infrastructure. Experience managing IT projects and leading cross-functional teams. Familiarity with IT security practices and compliance standards. Must be a US citizen. Must have and ability to maintain a Secret clearance. Preferred Qualifications: Related certifications.
