Summary About the Position: This position with the United States Army Reserve Command, G-3/3, Homeland Operations Branch located at Fort Liberty, North Carolina. Responsibilities Serve as the Bridge Operations Specialist in the United States Army Reserve Command (USARC) Operations Center. Process outgoing warning orders, operations orders, fragmentation orders, and official messages assigned to the Geographical and/or Functional Commands. Monitor, analyze and evaluate all classified and unclassified message traffic and unclassified news service reports received. Gather clear-cut factual information, assess the impact, and provide information to the appropriate parties. Monitor and coordinate the deployment and operations of forces and resources committed in support of civilian authorities. Interpret, prepare, and deliver response to the Commander’s Critical Information Requirements. Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes 1) Planning, organizing and coordinating the transition to the implementation of emergency/disaster operations plans; 2) Assisting in monitoring and/or coordinating readiness operation resources; 3) Distributing information to appropriate group(s) for action; and 4) Gathering, monitoring, and maintaining classified and/or unclassified information through various automated systems. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the second lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-07). OR Education: Master's or equivalent graduate degree or 2 full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to such a degree in a field which demonstrates the knowledge, skills, and abilities necessary to do the work of the position, such as: Business Management, Administration Management, or Emergency Management. OR Combination of Education and Experience: A combination of education and experience may be used to qualify for this position as long as the computed percentage of the requirements is at least 100%. To compute the percentage of the requirements, divide your total months of experience by 12. Then divide the total number of completed graduate semester hours (or equivalent) beyond the first year (total graduate semester hours minus 18) by 18. Add the two percentages.
