We are seeking an Operations Specialist to help grow Carollo's Operations support services in the Southern California Region and meet the needs of our current and future clients.

Responsibilities Assists clients to optimize treatment plant staffing labor, power and chemical costs Develops process startup, commissioning, and testing plansDevelops site inspection checklists for use during constructionLeads commissioning, startup, and testing efforts that result from Design ContractsAdvises clients on startup adjustments and facility tuningLeads preparation of Standard Operating Procedures and comparable documentationPrepares operator training coursesPrepares O&M manual updates (paper and electronic)Provides facility optimization servicesConducts overall systems performance evaluationPerforms detailed process facility optimization reviewReviews operating and laboratory data and data collection methodologyEvaluates staffing levels and training needsPrepares process trouble-shooting guidelinesAssists clients in staff development and transition planningEvaluates and develops strategies for operational data acquisition and presentationAssists with client marketingParticipates in project pursuitsAttends and participates in selected conferences Qualifications Extensive experience in water and/or wastewater process operationsKnowledge of regulated water/wastewater business and regulatory requirementsMinimum of ten (10) years of experience with at least three (3) years in a supervisory capacityUpper-level licensing in water and/or wastewater treatment plant operationCourse work in Water Quality Management, Engineering, Biology, Chemistry, Math, Environmental Science or related field of studyBusiness and financial acumen, and demonstrated leadership and management skillsStrong project management skillsStrong writing and presentation skillsInnovative leader with strong communication and interpersonal skillsAbility to travel as needed Preferred Qualifications BA/BS in Engineering, Biology, Chemistry, Math, Environmental Science or related field of study desired Superintendent or director experience in utility operations Pay Range
$150,000 to $175,000 annually. This is the lowest to highest salary we in good faith believe we would pay for this role at the time of this posting. We may ultimately pay more or less than the posted range, and the range may be modified in the future. An employee’s pay within the salary range will be based on several factors including, but limited to, relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, geographic location, performance, and business or organizational needs.
