Job Overview

The Operations Specialist either provides support to the BLM and MCY merchant teams in managing their shared Top of Table stock or facilitates VDF operations within Housewares and Top of Table. The position requires strong operational acumen and an understanding of merchandising. Fundamental requirements include the ability to collaborate, take ownership of your business, and achieve results. Perform other duties as assigned.

Essential Functions

Essential Functions – BLM/MCY:

• Run necessary reporting to monitor business needs. Review sales and inventory weekly.

• General purchase order maintenance: adjusting start/cancel dates, style changes, OTB dates.

• Manage replenishment, updating assortment and making recommendations for changes.

• Implement price changes, as necessary.

• Aptitude to function within deadlines, while working both independently and as part of a team.

• Process special orders on a weekly basis.

• Develop strong relationships with Merchants and vendor partners.

• Maintain C1 to monitor inventory levels.

• Special projects as necessary.

Essential Functions – VDF:

• Partner with Merchants to facilitate VDF vendor setup.

• Provide all necessary onboarding information to vendors to expedite process.

• Navigate vendors through Commerce Hub/Legacy contracts and testing.

• Submit and monitor VLLs through JIRA process until items are live on site.

• Implement price changes, as necessary.

• General item maintenance; updating images, copy, attributes etc.

• Develop strong relationships with Merchants and vendor partners.

• Special projects as necessary. 

Competencies

• Associate Degree preferred.

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills including the ability to influence.

• Practices open and continuous communication, values keeping others informed, effectively presenting information in a clear, concise manner.

• Aptitude to function within deadlines, while working both independently and as part of a team.

• Regular, dependable attendance & punctuality.

• Knowledge of MS Office computer programs are required

• Propensity to learn/use MCY proprietary systems, as needed.

• Ability to work a flexible schedule based on department and Company needs.
