Operations Supervisor, City Climb, Hudson Yards Experiences
Responsibilities Position Summary Hudson Yards is currently seeking a Supervisor of Operations who will be responsible for the City Climb experience at Edge observation deck, which is part of Hudson Yards Experiences. Reporting directly to the Manager of attractions, the Supervisor of Operations will be responsible for managing the daily operations of the climb experience, managing a team of climbing experts, assist with planning, development and implementation of standard operating procedures and safety protocols. The operations supervisor will provide strong operational leadership and direction while overseeing and directly managing the guest experience and City Climb Guides. Responsibilities Oversee the City Climb experience ensuring operations runs as efficiently as possible while meeting and exceeding customer expectations Demonstrate leadership qualities by managing and providing a work environment that promotes positive energy, creativity and teamwork among employees Ensure team building and communications are a collaborative, working relationship with other departments and attractions. Provide team members with clear expectations to ensure a cohesive and productive team approach. Manage customer satisfaction and employee concerns, individually and as a whole. Make effective decisions that help the business run smoothly and reach its objectives Ensure appropriate and effective throughput strategies are in place to support a world class experience for all visiting guests. Upholding Sky-High Hospitality while maintaining the highest safety standards for both guests and staff Support the ongoing recruitment process, assist with departmental training and developmental initiatives Collaborate with the leadership team to identify and set goals with the intent to conduct mid-year and annual performance reviews Implement plans to increase employee productivity, motivation and morale Provide leadership and guidance in all employee performance management interactions Provide recommendations for training and developmental plans for employee improvement and growth Deploy and manage crowd control, evacuation, fire safety and emergency plans for Hudson Yards Experiences Execute the implementation of health and safety goals, objectives, policies, procedures and work standards for the department annually Stay informed and engaged with the performance of the Company’s fire, life, and safety program. COMPENSATION $67,000 / yearly Qualifications Experience, Qualifications and Skills Bachelor's degree 3+ years of management experience in a high-capacity environment Preferred experience in adventure course operations and familiarity with ASTM regulations Able to perform effectively under pressure, meet deadlines, and manage workloads Capacity to stand or walk for extended periods of time Ability to work in varying weather conditions Flexible to work rotating shifts, which includes evenings, weekends, and holidays Proficiency in other languages is a plus Due to the safety-sensitive nature of this position it is required to pass a drug screening and psychological evaluation Ability to complete a practical climbing certification Overview Related Companies is a global real estate and lifestyle company defined by innovation and the most prominent privately-owned real estate firm in the United States.
