Operations Supervisor 80-95k
**Job Description** + Under the direction of the Production Manager, the Operations Supervisor oversees the daily swing shift operations of a chemical manufacturing facility ensuring a safe and efficient work environment. **Position Responsibilities** + Supervise a swing shift team in performing chemical operations - wash, filter change, charge, fill, and package. + Ensure compliance with all policies to achieve production activities and provide feedback to team members on a regular basis. + Leadership role in process improvement and corrective actions. + Manage supply ordering, and proper storage and handling of hazardous and non-hazardous materials and supplies. + Provide provisional support in the absence of other engineers and Supervisors. + Assists Engineers to develop methods, techniques, and evaluation criteria for addressing complex issues. + Provide leadership and mentorship to other operators. + Ability to accurately weigh and mix chemicals using digital scales, pumps, filtration systems and manual valves, interfacing with process control software, factory automation system (FAS). + Complete all necessary paperwork / electronic input, documenting all work completed and in process. + Assign & coordinate daily job assignments + Plan, coordinate, execute chemical operator training program. + Initiate efforts to investigate, improve, and implement actions for hands-on operational tasks. + Maintain compliance of electronic documentation and quality systems. + Oversee daily inspections for maintenance of tools and equipment. + Conduct daily Production meetings for 2nd shift. + Conduct periodic audits to ensure 6S program is thriving. + Conduct and support activities resulted from FMEAs. + Assists management with feedback regarding performance evaluations and goal development. + Provide a positive work environment for employees, customers and others. + Make suggestions to management for improving this position or improving work processes. + Work safely by observing safety rules, policies and procedures. Identify and report unsafe conditions to management. **Skills & Experience Requirements** + Minimum 10 years experience in chemical manufacturing, including weighing, mixing chemicals, and hands-on with chemical processing machinery ( Willing to test this with + Advanced knowledge of MS Office (Outlook, Excel, Word) + Experience with operational instructions and safety data sheets (SDS) required + Proven experience in troubleshooting issues with production equipment and processes + Familiarity with lean manufacturing tools (5S, poka, yoke, VSM) + Proven experience to lead teams and projects + 3+ Years training other personnel **Pay and Benefits** The pay range for this position is $80080.00 - $96096.00/yr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
