Job Description

We are currently seeking an Operations Supervisor with strong leadership experience to join our Material Recovery Facility.  In this position you will be responsible for hiring, training, supervising, and ensuring the safety of our employees and workers in our facility.  You will be trained and mentored in the solid waste and recycle business to prepare you for future management opportunities in our growing company. The ideal candidate will have strong business acumen and leadership experience.

Responsibilities:

Lead and be accountable for the performance of a teamAssign work and supervise the work of a team operating rolling stock and recycle equipmentMonitor progress of daily operations, and assign employees to complete tasks, and make operational changes as necessaryConduct safety meetings, perform observations, and complete operational and site auditsMaintain employee performance recordsResponsible for teamworkEnsure progressive disciplinary action is taken when necessaryConduct facility inspections to ensure proper work procedures and compliance are followedReceive and review customer complaintsPerform performance reviews of all direct reportsComplete others duties as assigned

Requirements:

Qualified applicants will meet the following minimum requirements:

Servant LeaderSelf-directed, and accountableStrong operational acumenComfortable solving complex problems2+ years prior Supervisory experience; waste industry preferred 4 year degree preferredMust be willing and able to relocate for future promotional opportunities.
