Operations Supervisor
Amentum
The Operations Supervisor will be based at one of three Amentum sites in Iraq and serve the Operations and Maintenance Support Services (OMSS) and Base Life Support Services (BLiSS) contracts supporting the U.S. Department of State. This position will assist Program Management in supporting the contracts to accomplish all contractual arrangements, meet operational requirements, and provide reports, briefings, and documentation supporting those efforts. The Operations Supervisor will report to the PMO Program Operations Manager. The duties and responsibilities listed below represent the nature and level of work assigned and are not necessarily all-inclusive.
**DUTIES** **:**
+ Responsible for maintaining a safe workplace and ensuring safety is the highest priority.
+ Comply with all Environmental, Health & Safety, and Quality Assurance requirements and goals. Provide information and materials to these divisions as necessary to ensure adequate legal documentation.
+ Develop reporting formats, briefings, and documentation in tandem with Operations Manager to demonstrate organizational constructs, capture information, analyze performance metrics, prepare reports demonstrating contract performance, and help organize information from across all Amentum efforts in Iraq.
+ Responsible for the coordination of information to support the creation/update of:
+ Quarterly Performance Metrics Review (PMR) with the Department of State.
+ Plan of Action and Milestones (POAM) for the BLiSS and OMSS contract projects.
+ Performance analysis to be incorporated into reporting requirements.
+ Perform a complex range of work activities requiring broad general knowledge of subjects related to Operations, Travel, Logistics, Maintenance, Facilities Management, Property, Accountability, Security, and other related fields.
+ Act as the backup point of contact for accountability drills and events, incidents, and other emergencies in the absence of the Operations Manager.
+ Responsible for organizing meetings to include venue and support functions, deriving requirements from these sessions.
+ Responsible for the organization of support to special visitors to Iraq; close coordination with Travel, Operations Manager and Site Access will be required.
+ Assist with coordination of strategic planning efforts with the BLiSS and OMSS program management.
+ Conduct trend analysis and reports to improve effectiveness and efficiencies.
+ Perform data entry into the program electronic database; routinely update information as needed.
+ Oversight of daily/weekly/monthly reports as required.
+ Work with the PMO Operations Manager to develop and maintain the department’s organizational structure and efficiency.
+ Review business systems administration, resources, procedures, processes, and methods to improve operational effectiveness.
+ Responsible for the primary planning tools for all new project analysis in response to requirements from the Department of State such as:
+ Contingency planning.
+ Specialized metrics analysis.
+ Compliance list construction.
+ Ensure compliance with applicable governing policies, procedures, and regulations.
+ Assist Operations Manager with daily oversight of Operations staff.
+ Perform additional duties and projects as assigned.
**REQUIRED** **:**
+ **Minimum Acceptable Experience Level:**
+ Three (3) years of related experience with multifaceted duties.
+ Two (2) years in a supervisory capacity.
+ Two (2) years supporting contracts in overseas locations.
+ **Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:**
+ Knowledge of principles and processes involved in supporting contract responsibilities at an overseas facility.
+ Ability to work in a fast-paced environment that requires handling multiple tasks at a given time and rapidly adapting to changing priorities and schedules.
+ Cross-cultural sensitivity with an international perspective.
+ Excellent organizational and time management skills.
+ Excellent computer skills, with proficiency in Microsoft Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio, Project, and Access).
+ Ability to learn company and site-specific information platforms.
+ Ability to become an active and functioning member of a team.
+ Ability to be innovative and an agent for change.
+ Expert communication skills to facilitate and disseminate information.
+ **Education:** High school diploma or GED.
+ **Passport, Licenses, and Certifications:** As part of pre-contingency requirements, **by the time the visa process starts** , candidates must possess a valid passport of their home country with a minimum of 18 months remaining to the expiration date with 8 blank pages.
+ Valid driver’s license from Home of Record.
+ **Security Vetting:** Already possessing a US Government-issued MRPT security clearance or obtaining a favorable MRPT clearance from the US Government before being hired is required for the position. Must maintain eligibility at the required certification or clearance level for the contract duration.
+ **Language Skills:** Excellent English proficiency to meet job requirements and to adhere to and comply with safety, health, and security measures.
+ **Medical:** Complete and pass the medical and dental examinations as required by Amentum and our customer for deployment to Iraq. Must maintain physical and dental requirements for the duration of the deployment.
**DESIRED** **:**
+ **Education:** Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Marketing, Management, or a similar discipline.
+ Previous work experience in harsh environmental conditions is a plus.
+ Experience working with Amentum / PAE.
**WORKING AND LIVING CONDITIONS:**
This position may be in a war zone with harsh and dangerous working and living conditions. While performing the duties of this job, the employee may regularly be exposed to an extreme and austere desert-like environment. Temperatures can reach 120- 130 degrees Fahrenheit/50- 55 degrees Celsius during summer. Employees must be willing and able to perform regular job requirements in this austere, extreme environment, as well as willing and able to deploy to Iraq for extended periods. Work schedules are at least 6 days per week and 10 hours per day, while some jobs have higher daily and weekly minimums. Employees must be willing and able to perform physical activities including, but not limited to, heavy lifting and moving of items, parts, assemblies, and equipment up to the safety regulation maximum; climbing in and out of equipment; crawling; and working outdoors. This includes lifting and carrying 40 pounds of personal protective equipment for extended periods and running and ‘duck & cover’ during emergencies without putting oneself or others at risk.
