Join our team as we empower individuals to express their unique beauty and provide exceptional customer experiences.
As an Operations Supervisor, you will play a key role in driving operational efficiency and managing stockroom activities. In addition to overseeing stock operations, you will mentor Beauty Advisors Operations on stock processes, helping them develop a deeper understanding of stock management and its impact on the customer experience. Your leadership will focus on optimising processes, improving inventory management, and ensuring effective loss prevention strategies. This position requires a dynamic individual who can elevate both team performance and operational standards to support the store’s success.
Key Responsibilities:
Team Leadership & Development:
Supervise, train, and coach Beauty Advisors Operations and store staff on stock organisation, safety procedures, and inventory management to enhance efficiency, reduce waste, and uphold customer service standards, ensuring high levels of motivation, productivity, and satisfaction. Conduct regular performance evaluations, set clear performance goals, and create personalised development plans to guide each team member’s growth. Foster a positive, collaborative, and creative team environment, driving a culture of teamwork, innovation, and excellence in service. Support senior store management in managing employee relations (ER) issues, including lateness, attendance concerns, and performance-related matters. Receive, inspect, and process incoming deliveries, ensuring all products meet quality standards and are processed timely and accurately. Manage stock replenishment to ensure product availability on the sales floor. Monitor loss prevention protocols and conduct regular stock audits, collaborating with your team and the Operations Manager to detect, address, and resolve potential theft, damage, and inventory discrepancies promptly.
Operational Excellence & Customer Support:
Optimise stockroom procedures and consistently assess operational processes to identify opportunities for enhancing inventory management and team performance, ensuring the store runs smoothly and efficiently with minimal disruptions. Collaborate with the store team to ensure product availability and meet customer demand, particularly during busy periods or sales events. Maintain an organised stockroom layout to optimise space and ensure quick retrieval of merchandise, while upholding Sephora’s health and safety standards to keep both the stockroom and sales floor safe, clean, and welcoming for customers and team members. Assist customers with product inquiries, offering expert advice and personalised recommendations when needed.
New Store Opening Procedures:
Support the setup of the new store by participating in unboxing deliveries and stocking shelves, ensuring the smooth transition of merchandise to the shop floor and stockroom.
Skills:
Proven experience in a leadership or management role within the retail industry, with in-depth knowledge of stock management and a strong ability to oversee stock operations, ensure operational efficiency, and coach staff in best practices for inventory accuracy and security. Experience with stock management software and proficient computer skills for tracking stock and operational data. Strong ability to analyse store performance, drive sales, and meet financial targets, particularly in the context of stock operations and inventory management. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a natural ability to lead and inspire a diverse team. Knowledge and experience in handling employee relations (ER) issues, such as lateness, performance concerns, and disciplinary processes. Strong organisational skills and attention to detail, with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment while ensuring accuracy in stock management, safety protocols, and loss prevention.
