Job Summary
A member of the Operations team, accountable for management of supply chain projects costs, timelines, and resourcing. This individual will use technical and project management skills to coordinate implementation of new parts, cost reduction activities, and strategic outsourcing activities.

Responsibilities

Key Accountabilities

Defines scope, key objectives, timelines, and desired results for Operations team projects including supplier transfers, outsourcing projects, and other projects required to sustain business needs.Identifies and allocates project resources based on project priority as needed for successful implementation of Operations team projects.Ownership of Operations team projects timelines and is the responsible person to update Werfen management team on project progression, resource utilization, and technical risks.Conducts cost benefit analysis on proposed cost savings opportunities and presents business cases to Werfen management team highlighting potential piece price savings, capital investment requirements, personnel requirements, implementation timeline, and estimated payback period.Effectively manages relationships with external suppliers to achieve desirable outcomes for both Werfen and external suppliers.Tracks existing tooling, fixtures at suppliers, and identifies needs for initiation of new projects based on tooling and fixture lifecycle and Werfen’s strategic needs.Implement continuous improvements to Operations processes to bring projects more effectively from concept to implementation.Effectively and politically resolves conflict between team members.Performs other duties and responsibilities as assigned.

Minimum Knowledge & Experience for the position:

A B.S. degree in engineering preferredCertification in Project Management Program (PMP) preferredDemonstrated record of problem solving, cost reduction, and experience with validation.

Management has the discretion of substituting relevant work experience for a degree and/or making exceptions to the years of experience requirement.

 

Skills & Capabilities:

Effective people skillsStrong time management and organization skillsDemonstrated computer literacy, expertise in reading schematics and mechanical drawings, working knowledge of ERP systems.

Travel requirements:
25% of time
