About this opportunity:

It is responsible for the coordination, management and execution of Field Services activities supporting other Service Function (SF) in Operations and Engineering when in-site activities must be performed, to ensure that services provided to customers are continuously available and performing to Service Level Agreement (SLA) performance levels.
The Job Role Operations Support shall work to guarantee the adherence to the MS delivery strategy, WLA and processes and customer contract SoW fulfilment.

This Job Role is responsible for the execution of the following activities:

•Initiate any required repairs or maintenance activities via the standard corrective, . preventive or planned maintenance process.
•Working with Suppliers individual Country Leader/Prime, Schedule, Dispatch, and monitoring of current status and ensure all expectations KPI’s and SLA are part of the hourly administration of work.
•If POP / GPOP / Co-Located (eased space/cage) / Data Center always review surrounding area for Security Breaches, Environmental, Safety, Construction or other incidents that may be causing the reported issues or jeopardizing the environment and report immediately to the SPOC and Country Leader as well as the MSCOO/MSIP Team.
•Test device functionality and connectivity. Perform service testing to verify that functionality is restored and Assist Verizon Testing groups where necessary.
• update site configuration information after equipment/services are installed/de-installed

• Update 3rd party provider information such as power supply authority details, landlord details, security contractor details etc.
• Shall, upon request from Customer or other "approved requestors", facilitate visits to sites for the purpose of inspection or other activity by authorized 3rd Party personnel.
• 3rd Party supervision.
• Service Activation/Deactivation – Onsite-CPE

 


Working on categorized by the equipment type, as follows –

• Planned Maintenance – Onsite
• Planned Maintenance – CPE
• Planned Maintenance – Outside Plant

 

 

The purpose of Planned Maintenance is to undertake maintenance activities which are required to be scheduled compliance with business rules regarding network outages

• scort specialist access to customer premises
• requirement to use external resources or hardware etc.
Site POP/GPOP/DC/Colo surveys and visual capacity verification.
Warehouse, GPOP or Customer Annual inventory work.
Any TFO type work, vendor management/POP escort, battery readings, filter cleaning or changes (Preventive and Corrective Maintenance) etc.
Site POP/GPOP/DC/Colo audit preparations.
Site audit and DRP preparations.
Plan and confirm Service Activation/Deactivation time with the requestor, complying with the business rules of scheduled outage times (if applicable).
• (Re-)configuration of equipment at site according to established and agreed procedures.
• Perform end-to-end tests together with the requestor to confirm that service is active/inactive.
• Report completion of work
• Escalate problems as required.
