JOB SUMMARY Responsible for coordinating daily production activities to maximize productivity and minimize costs while maintaining quality.   ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES + Monitors operations for efficiency and safety; ensures all regulatory requirements are met. + Creates production schedules to meet internal goals, as well as expectations of customers. + Collaborates with production staff and upper management to solve work related problems. + Resolves personnel problems, complaints, and formal grievances when possible, or refers them to higher levels of management for resolution. + Prepares and maintains employee records such as attendance and hours worked. + Assists team with completing work duties and/or performs more difficult skilled tasks. + Create or maintain records and reports. + Attend, schedule, and/or conduct safety meetings as needed. EDUCATION and EXPERIENCE + HS diploma or GED required. Less than 1 year of experience. + Experience in a manufacturing and/or production environment a plus. + Or equivalent combination of education and experience. COMPETENCY SUMMARY + Meets productivity standards and strives to increase productivity. + Completes assignments on or ahead of schedule and accomplishes assigned work in an organized, timely manner. + Can be depended upon to be available for work and to fulfill position responsibilities. + Works to keep work areas and common areas free of hazards in order to protect themselves, coworkers and visitors. + Teaches, mentors, and coaches new or less-skilled employees.
