Operations & Technical Director
Aon is looking for an Operations & Technical Director The Affinity Integrated Services team is responsible for providing operations support across multiple Affinity businesses, ensuring the delivery of tangible business value including process optimization and realizable productivity. This role will lead the AIS operations unit, collaborating with various business units, and product/platform/service teams, to define and prioritize the AIS value delivery. This position will have a hybrid work schedule out of our Fort Washington, PA office. What the day will look like Operational Management: Coordinates day-to-day interactions related to production, accuracy, operational issues, client interactions, compliance, customer concerns, and process/workflow improvements for all units, bringing to bear both onshore and offshore teams. Strategy Alignment: Works closely with business stakeholders to understand the overall strategy and align AIS initiatives accordingly. This involves finding opportunities where AIS can add value, streamline processes, and improve operational efficiency. Performance Measurement: Establishes key performance indicators (KPIs), leading indicators and metrics to measure the effectiveness and success of AIS initiatives. This includes defining targets, tracking progress, and regularly reporting on the achieved value and benefits to partners. Project & Portfolio Management and Execution: Provides implementation of technology and solutions, defines operational requirements for technology, reviews key pain points, and needs, to resolve and carry out necessary processes and practices, systems monitoring and issue resolution. Partner Engagement: Works in partnership with internal team members, such as business unit leaders, process owners, and IT teams, to understand their needs, obtain feedback, and ensure alignment with business initiatives. Effective communication and relationship-building skills are crucial in this aspect of the role. People Leadership: Develops others by translating strategic direction and cascading across the team; seeks opportunities to involve team in key initiatives; and is accountable for developing direct reports and crafting succession plans. Leads resource allocation decisions to enhance effectiveness and sets standards for quality and performance expectations. Appropriately adjusts priorities, strategies and resources in response to relevant organizational changes. Budget Management: Monitors and leads the annual budget spend for AIS, delivering the department budget within target. Skills and experience that will lead to success Experience in insurance operations management, process design, vendor management, performance benchmarking, product and portfolio management with a focus on value realization and driving measurable outcomes. Strong understanding of customer-centric methodologies and strategies. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with customers and internal partners. Analytical approach to analyze data, identify trends, and draw actionable insights. Exceptional problem-solving and decision-making abilities. Ability to work independently and run multiple projects simultaneously. Enthusiastic about delivering outstanding customer happiness and success. Knowledge of Healthcare professional liability a plus. Property and Casualty Producer Licensure Life and Health Producer Licensure, a plus Education Bachelor's degree in business or a related field. Pay Transparency Laws: The salary range for this position is $140,000 to $180,000 annually. This position is eligible to participate in one of Aon’s annual incentive plans to receive an annual discretionary bonus in addition to base salary. The amount of any bonus varies and is subject to the terms and conditions of the applicable incentive plan. The actual salary will vary based on applicant’s education, experience, skills, and abilities, as well as internal equity and alignment with market data. The salary may also be adjusted based on applicant’s geographic location.
