Scope of responsibilities include:

Follow Site Work Instruction Manual and Job Safety Analysis proceduresMaintain an electronic logbook of unit operational activitiesSolving plant process upsets using various indicators and DCS trends in conjunction with console operatorCalibrate/Operate multiple analyzersPerform preventative maintenance tasksMaintain online training program requirementsIssue safety work permits and perform lock out / tag out of various process equipmentFill Bulk Carbon Monoxide tube trailersInspect all work areas on a continuous basis for any mechanical problems, safety hazards and unusual operation conditions. Keep work and supply areas in a safe, clean and orderly conditionEnsure that all plant safety, environmental and quality procedures are followedAttend and contribute to monthly safety meetingsPerform troubleshooting on equipmentAssist in reviewing and updating operating procedures as requiredOperate unit equipment via DCS

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities and Qualifications:

This is a safety sensitive position.A strong commitment to safety, working as a team, and operational excellenceA self-starter with a Strong Work ethic.Intermediate computer proficiency and software knowledge, including Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.Previous operations work history and/or military experienceElectrical, instrument or mechanical maintenance experience a plusAbility to read/understand piping and instrumentation drawings a plusExperience with personal computers and/or DCS systemsAbility to work shifts rotating from days to nightsWilling to work holidays and weekendsDesire and ability to work in a team environment 

Physical Requirements: 

Climb ladders and steps and lift a minimum of 50lbsMeet call-in/on call requirements as neededElevated work requiredWork in all weather conditions

Education and Licensing Requirements:

High school diploma or equivalent2+ years of experience in a manufacturing or production environment with chemical processing or petrochemical preferredProcess Technology certificate or degree is advantageous and may be considered in lieu of experience
