HyCO4 is a new facility construction project, anticipated to be in commissioning early-2025 and online in mid-2025. It is an expansion and partner facility to the existing HyCO3 plant which has been in operation since 1996. The La Porte HyCO4 facility will be the newest production plant in our Gulf Coast Hydrogen pipeline network and a key expansion for our Houston Area Carbon Monoxide system. The HyCO4 facility incorporates many of the newest and most cutting-edge technologies anywhere in the world to create sustainable, low-carbon, Hydrogen while also capturing and commercializing Carbon Monoxide, rather than emitting Carbon Dioxide to the atmosphere. The HyCO4 plant is a step into the future for Air Products, the industrial gas industry, and a sustainable energy future for America.

Job Responsibilities:

Fulfill both outside and inside operations tasks to ensure the safe, compliant, and efficient operation of the facility. Issue Safety Work Permits, implement Lock-Out/Tag Out, and manage field execution of maintenance contractors while working in the facility.Follow Site Work Instruction Manuals and adhere to Environmental, Health & Safety Standards. Work with various engineering functions to solve plant process issues and maximize the efficiency of the unit. Perform routine rounds and preventative maintenance tasks. Perform water treatment tests for various boiler and cooling water systems.Maintain training program requirements and certifications. This role is a safety sensitive position.

Physical Requirements:

Climb ladders and steps Lift at least 50 lbs Look at and read a computer screen for several hours per shiftMeet call-in requirements, as neededOccasionally work on elevated platforms (permanent and temporary) Work in all weather conditions

Qualifications / Requirements:

High school diploma or equivalentProcess Technology certificate or degree is a plusPrevious work history in industrial gas, refining, or petrochemical facilities Relevant military experience/training Ability to read/understand piping and instrumentation drawingsBasic computer proficiency and software knowledge, including Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.Electrical, instrument or mechanical maintenance experience a plusAbility to work rotating shifts (day and night shifts).Willing to work holidays and weekendsDesire and ability to work in a team environment
