As a Operations Test Technician, you your primary role is to test, troubleshoot, repair and overhaul a variety of components to strict Safety & Quality requirements. As the Test Technician you will accumulate and record electrical test data as required for each product tested, calibrate and maintain test stations whilst complying with all Quality Test processes and procedures.

You will assist in delivering daily Production requirements in terms of Quality and Quantity to meet Customer expectations. You will utilise Lean Manufacturing tools and techniques whilst operating to defined “takt times” and product sequences.

The successful candidate will partake in an in-depth, one week Induction to align your skills with our Company Standards.

Job Duties/Responsibilities may include, but are not limited to:

Monitor the Production Process and carry out Testing and Quality checks

Maintain working areas 5S

Fit parts to machinery and equipment

Make Quality Control checks on products

Contribute to Continuous Improvement activities

You will be expected to:

Perform evaluation, functional testing, and basic troubleshooting of product in a Quality manner, according to procedure, within time constraints, and whilst adhering to all Health, Safety and Environmental standards

Perform in-process and or final assembly tests.

Cross-train to learn the skills necessary to be competent in a variety of positions.

Have the ability to collate data and perform failure analysis whilst making productive contributions

Act and operate safely at all times, following Safety Procedures and requirements.

Learn & Develop technically, understand basic circuits, read and interpret basic schematic drawings.

You should be able to:

Demonstrable ability of operating technical IT testing equipment

Operate to tight deadlines and cycle times

  

Candidates may have gained the following skills and experience through previous roles: 

Previous experience within a manufacturing assembly environment including test equipment

Technical degree OR electronic test and troubleshooting skills commensurate with a Technical degree with equivalent work experience.

Job Title: Operations Test Technician

Salary:  £27,850 rising to £29,200 once fully competent

Contract: Permanent

Hours: Full Time –  37.50

Monday-Thursday:  Start variable 06.30-07.00,  Finish – Variable, dependent on start time 15.30-16.30

Friday: Start – 06.30-07.00, Early Finish – 10.00-12.00

Travel: Not required
