Operations Trainer & Process Optimization Specialist

The Process Optimization Specialist to plan and execute training and developing programs for the plant, lead teams as required and implement new manufacturing methodologies as directed. Possible requirement for rotating shifts as needed.

As a Process Optimization Specialist, your responsibilities will include:

Working with Unit Management to determine process training needs, including job skill qualifications and process refresher training.Maintaining a consistent method of evaluating and documenting job skill qualifications and process training program effectivenessProviding ongoing support to all plant work groups to enhance process knowledge resulting in high quality, safe, and on-time product delivery to enhance external customer experience.Leading Lean projects that deliver process improvements and financially contribute to the business, leveraging the results throughout the organization.Leadership, promotion and administration of Safety, Health, Environmental, Quality and Employment Standards, complying with applicable corporate and regulatory requirements applicable to area of responsibility.Schedule changes for employees and arranging for callbacks in accordance with the collective agreement.Optimization of production in compliance with product quality specifications and food safety requirements to meet production targets.Serving as Plant Emergency Coordinator for the plant.Identification of areas for improvement, proposing workable solutions to improve plant performance and follow up as appropriate.Scheduling of compliance training with external vendors as well as facilitating compliance training

Qualified candidates should have:

Experience as a leader or trainer in a similar settingKnowledge of Corn Refining operations and processes preferred, but not required.Decision making ability, planning and time-management skills.Ability to manage a dynamic manufacturing environment, interacting and communicating across functional lines and levels.Ability to demonstrate strong troubleshooting skillsAbility to learn and apply Ingredion’s GMP, IPS, Quality, ISO and Safety standards.Ability to train and coach others to improve performance.Ability to build consensus and foster positive relationships.Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Pay Range:

$72,073.60-$96,098.13 Annual

This pay range is not a guarantee of compensation or salary. Final base salary will be determined based on several factors which may include but are not limited to responsibilities of the job, education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities, as well as internal equity, alignment with market data and applicable bargaining agreement (if any).

Incentive Compensation:

As a part of the total compensation package, this role may be eligible for the Ingredion Annual Incentive Plan or a role-specific commission/bonus.
