Job summary – What to expect:
As the Operations Training manager, you will be responsible for leading the development and execution of the operations training and development strategy for UK Manufacturing that supports the continued growth of our people and operations. This is an exciting opportunity to ensure the continuous training and development of direct and indirect employees to enhance the capabilities of our operations whilst providing career pathing in key roles.
You will:
Lead the training team within UK Manufacturing to ensure all employees are trained, compliant and tested to follow approved standard operating procedures according to the Quality Management System within agreed KPIs for training compliance. Ensure all new production-based employees are onboarded successfully. This is in partnership with line managers to ensure each employee is set up for success with clarity on their role and responsibilities. Oversee the creation, deployment and continual review and evaluation of all Production based training initiatives, leveraging global best practise where available and working in partnership with our Global Site Business Unit Training teams and Senior Manager L&D EMEA to share and learn from CooperVision best practice. Be responsible in developing a training/development Academy Centre to support employee development across all roles. This will be in partnership with Business Units and Department Managers/H&S/Engineering/QA Managers, to develop programmes that will enable employees to become multi-skilled, knowledgeable, engaged with the skills to perform their duties to the highest standard.

About you:
We are looking for an experienced leader who is able to demonstrate an engaging facilitation style for employees who have different ways of learning as well as a passion for driving training and development using applied knowledge and good people skills.
Experience & Education:
CIPD Certificate in learning and development (minimum level 3) desirable. Training and development leadership within a manufacturing/ or regulated industry is desirable. Knowledge on devising processes to support role and employee development Knowledge of and experience in data collection, report and analysis that delivers meaningful metrics against set KPIs. Project management skills to include planning, resourcing, budgeting, and execution. A bachelor’s degree in a related course of study is required desirable
