This is a full-time, hourly position.
Job Description:Performs a variety of tasks physically and mentally with the primary task of operating various pieces of equipment to transport and store grain in an indoor ambient temperature warehouse. In general, the employee performing these jobs operates gates, starts and stops conveyors, move equipment, lifts lids, operate locomotive, operate pneumatic gun, couple and uncouple rail cars and use sampling probe.Physical work includes:Walking and/or going up and down stairs.Must also perform general housekeeping duties including but not limited to sweeping, moping, shoveling wheat, assisting in equipment maintenance, blowing down with an air hose, using a high-pressure water hose to wash down black top driveway.Opening and closing gates by pushing and pulling gate arm and chains.Lift Bin lids weighing approximately 15 lbs., change directional spout and operate grain diverter (Tripper). Operate locomotive.Operate pneumatic gate opener, which requires individual to push & pull gun on rail as well as being bent over to attach opener to gate mechanism.Switch rail, which requires the releasing of rail cars, walking, operating track switch and bending over to take samples.Performs a variety of tasks physically and mentally with the primary task of operating various pieces of equipment to transport and store grain in an indoor ambient temperature warehouse.
