Job Description
This position requires loading metal coils onto the line using a hi-lo, feeding the coil into the line, and operating the machine to trim the coil to customer specifications. The role involves physically demanding tasks, including pushing and pulling bins and handling large metal coils. The operator will also inspect the trimmed coil and ensure it is appropriately tagged based on gauge and material. Training will be provided to eventually enable the operator to pull up orders on the computer and run the line independently.
ResponsibilitiesLoad metal coils onto the line using a hi-lo.Feed the coil into the line and operate the machine to trim the coil to customer specifications.Remove trimmed coils from the line, inspect them, and tag them based on gauge and material.Perform physical tasks involving pushing and pulling bins and handling large metal coils.Train to pull up orders on the computer and run the line independently.Essential SkillsPLEASE READ BEFORE APPLYING 3+ recent years of machine operation experience that requires setup.Ability to work 2nd (3pm - 11pm) Experience in welding and fabrication.Ability to perform physical work, including pushing and pulling bins.Willingness to work independently.Flexibility to work overtime, weekends, and holidays.Scoring at least 70% on the Bennett Mechanical test.Valid driver's license.Additional Skills & QualificationsManufacturing Operating Machines Experience with hi-lo operations.Mechanical skills related to loading and unloading metal products.Why Work Here?
