Job Summary

You Will Spend Your Time...

Monitoring and operating the equipment on the production line in a 24 / 7 / 365 operation
Complying with all company policies including, but not limited to, Quality, Safety, Food Safety, Environmental, GMP’s, HACCP, Early Reporting of Pain, and Attendance
Monitoring the manufacturing process and equipment to assure it is operating properly and make minor mechanical adjustments when necessary
Recognizing atypical/incorrect conditions and contact the Lead
Maintaining accurate written records or logs
Assembling and disassembling production equipment as required by processes and Work Instructions
Housekeeping
Vacation & sick coverage of opposite shift when required
Cooperates/assists co-workers as required.
Job Requirements


KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES:

High school diploma or general education degree (GED)
Must be able to read, communicate, comprehend, and follow oral and written procedures and instructions
Must have the basic understanding of computers to check email and navigate the internet for safety training and have the ability to learn new systems quickly
Previous work experience in a food manufacturing/GMP environment is preferred
Ability to read, write, and speak English is required
Previous fork-lift experience is preferred
Mechanical aptitude; experience troubleshooting equipment and machines is preferred
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Strong multi-tasking, problem solving and time management skills

Physical Demands:

Ability to work rotating 12- hour shift, including weekends, holidays, and overtime as needed on a regular basis is required (530-530)
Must be willing and able to work in manufacturing environments to include; wearing safety equipment, such as earplugs, gloves, safety glasses, hardhats, hairnets, and steel-toed shoes are required
While performing the duties of this job, you may be required to stand; walk (up and down stairs); twist; bend; stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl, or climb for extended periods of time; and will require the ability to lift and/or move up to 50 pounds is required
