Without their skill, passion and focus on quality and safety it would not be possible to be recognised as the UK’s premier supplier of ductile iron products and solutions. All our products are third party assessed and approved against all relevant world-wide regulations and standards so we can honestly say our production team deliver to the highest standard.  

 

Due to growth we are recruiting new operatives for our Day shift. This shift is rotating 7am - 3pm and 1.30pm- 10pm Monday to Friday. The site is located close to Ilkeston in Stanton by Dale which is accessible by public transport, and offers free parking.

Experience of working to health and safety standards Experience in machine operations (milling or lathes), welding (stick or machine) or fabrication (metal) is desirable Ability to work in a close knit team Good written and verbal communication skills Experience or desire to work night shifts on a permanent basis FLT licence would also be an advantage

 

What you will be doing:

 

This role gives the successful candidates the opportunity to become Multiskilled Machine Operatives across the different stages of production. This includes Cutting, Welding, Boring, Face and Testing and Finishing. And while you will hone your expertise in one area initially, we would support your development in learning skills across the line.

To manufacture bespoke ductile iron pipes for the water and sewer industry To safely contribute to our aim of being the customer’s first choice, through achieving the desired level of productivity and quality. To ensure items are manufactured to the strictest tolerances and quality standards. To ensure items are manufactured to the due date. To operate machinery & tools as per training To conduct quality checks as required To conduct assembly work To sustain local SHEQ systems
