Purpose of Role: Operate hand held grinders to safely remove excess metal from inside and outside castings

Key Responsibilities:

Operate hand held grinders to safely remove excess metal from inside and outside castings Verify fit accuracy by correctly using gaging with different thickness feeler gages Utilize hoist to manipulate castings to the proper position for fitting/gaging Keeping track of the part Identification  Correctly fill out shift pitch board to include current pitch and reasons if pitch is missed Keep work station in good order for the next shift/operatorOccasionally the Fitter will move by hand gaging weighing up to 50 pounds Safety First: Demonstrate 100% commitment to our zero harm behaviors in support of our drive towards developing a world class safety culture.


Job Knowledge/Education and Qualifications:

Previous experience in manufacturing is a plusAttention to detailAbility to work with othersAbility to work on your feet for 8 hours
