Are you ready to join our team as an Operator and make a significant impact in the oil and gas industry? As a Contract Operator, you will have the opportunity to work full-time for one year, from 20-Jan-2025 to 19-Jan-2026, in Catarina, Texas, United States. Your expertise in Operations & Maintenance, gas compression, and compressor/pumping stations will be put to the test as you ensure the smooth operation of our client's facilities. Optional experience in Heavy Mechanical Service and Electrical Service will make you stand out as a top candidate for this role.

Role Overview

Operate and maintain natural gas compressors, troubleshoot and diagnose issues, and oversee repairs and preventative maintenance. Inspect engines, compressors, and other mechanical equipment to determine necessary repairs and schedule maintenance. Perform overhauls, repairs, and maintenance on engines, compressors, pumps, turbines, and motors. Utilize hand tools, power tools, and electronic diagnostic equipment to ensure efficient operation of equipment. Monitor and maintain maximum efficiency and productivity to minimize downtime. Perform lockout/tagout procedures, start/stop equipment, and conduct equipment checks. Adhere to company policies and procedures to ensure safe and efficient operations. Maintain facilities and equipment, including engines/compressors, company vehicle, shops, and tool rooms.

Skills & Qualifications

Skilled mechanic with experience in operating, troubleshooting, diagnosing, and repairing natural gas compressors. Experience with heavy mechanical and some electrical service. Detailed knowledge of compressor components, lubrication systems, shut-down systems, loading and unloading valves, pistons, valves, and electrical systems. Familiarity with compression, process, and production equipment, as well as electrical systems. Ability to use hand tools, power tools, and electronic diagnostic equipment. Understanding of equipment repair manuals.

Education & Experience

High School diploma or G.E.D. 2+ years of industry experience required. Valid Driver's License.
