We are seeking a top-tier Operator (Temporary) with an ambitious spirit coupled with a strong business sense and customer service approach.
Reporting directly to the Manager, Operations, the Operator’s responsibility will be to ensure reliability, availability and safe operation of all facilities. Additional responsibilities focus around operational excellence which include the development and execution of a SSOP’s, JHA’s, and Safe Work agreements. This position works collaboratively with Maintenance, Administration, Operational Support, Engineering, Business Development, HSE, Compliance and Accounting.
All duties and responsibilities will be performed in accordance with established health, safety and environmental principles, corporate policies, practices and procedures and applicable government legislation.
What Else You Get To Do:
Work with engineering to optimize plant and field assets. Ensure all government regulation and codes, including health, safety and the environment are adhered to. Monitor plant operations to ensure all processes and equipment are operating within design parameters, and perform plant maintenance duties. Provide input into the preventative maintenance program. Ensure compliance with the company purchasing policy through requesting quotes, generating purchase orders and signing for receipt of product, and with the Quality Management System. Adhere to ABSA, AER directives, and all internal integrity management systems requirements. Conduct operator rounds ensuring all equipment and processes are reviewed and recorded. Complete production logs. Patrol and inspect both field and plant pipeline right-of-way for leaks, washouts and abnormalities on a regular basis and records, reports and assists in any repairs required. Keep operating equipment in the condition to deliver full design duty (reliability), ensure plant equipment is ready to run properly when required for operation (availability), and operate assets most profitably for the life of the organization (life cycle profit). Constantly monitor and is alert to locating any other abnormalities and provides the necessary follow-up. Conduct preliminary investigations of damage to equipment or plant facilities and complete reports as required Collect operational data to more effectively optimize operations going forward. Inspect and supervise outside contractor crews, equipment crossing and/or work adjacent to these assets as delegated. Inspect, operate, service and maintain plant, well and well-head measurement and regulating equipment, and any other duties related to measuring and regulating equipment as required. Train and be able to operate the panel. Work closely with the Health, Safety & Environment (HSE) group to ensure compliance with government and company regulations. Be aware of operational costs to ensure facilities are on budget as set out in the business plan, could potentially provide input for business plans. Provide industry leading customer service to ATCO’s external customers. Maintain good company relations with land owners, service companies, and customers Actively participate in the performance, development, and evaluation processes, ensure ongoing performance contributes to Business Unit and organizational results Chair various meetings as required i.e. Maintenance, Safety, Tailgate, etc.Who You Are:
Good written and oral communication skills with knowledge of MS Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel, Power Point). Well-developed interpersonal skills, able to adapt to changing situations and develop creative and innovative ways to resolve issues. Strong analytical, problem solving and decision-making skills. Ability to organize, plan, and implement activities successfully with a high level of personal initiative and motivation. Minimum 2-4 years related experience with Industrial Water Facilities experience, Commercial Water facilities experience and / or Cavern experience. Extensive knowledge of applicable regulatory codes and practices.What We Offer:
