Job Description
Depending on the job location, lodging and rotating schedule may be provided.
Responsibilities
Under supervision, will assist during rigging-up and rigging-down of surface and down hole well logging equipment on work locations for the purpose of recording information about sub-surface geologic formations
Assists during the rigging-up and rigging-down of surface and down-hole well logging equipment including electric, nuclear, sonic, other well logging tools, and pressure control equipment
Assists during the operation of well logging equipment at job site
Assembles down hole well logging tools (electric, nuclear, sonic, and other well logging tools)
Maintains, cleans, and performs preventative maintenance on down-hole and surface well logging equipment
Assists in the performance of pre and post job vehicle and equipment inspections and associated paperwork and/or reports
Promotes safety awareness and environmental consciousness, and complies with all applicable safety and environmental procedures and regulations
Ensures compliance with Health, Safety, and Environmental (HSE) regulations and guidelines
Promotes and takes an active part in quality improvement processes
Education:
Must have High school diploma or equivalent education
Requirements Licensure to drive commercial equipment may be required in certain locations.
Must have a satisfactory driver record with no DWI/DUI convictions in the past three years or any current DWI/DUI charges
Successful completion of the Well Control Accreditation Program
Successful completion of water survival training
Completion of Operator Assistant I – Logging and Perforating competencies, or similar level of competence from previous industry experience
Able to communicate effectively with others
Able to perform basic mathematical calculations
Basic reading comprehension and writing skills required
Able to perform basic computer skills
Able to pass background, physical and drug screen
Able to lift up to 60lbs
Able to pass background, physical and drug screen
Able to understand and carry out routine oral and written instructions
Able to accommodate a flexible work schedule, long work days, and/or irregular work hours, be on-call with short notice and exposed to extreme weather conditions
Maintains effective working relationship with other employees
