The operator I is responsible for manufacturing quality product according to the work order or other build signal while adhering to defined work instructions. General duties may include picking, assembling, and packaging. In some areas, minor set-up and equipment operation may be required.

In this role, a typical day will look like:                       

Gather materials and set-up straightforward equipment.Maintain quality of products produced according to department standards and visual or dimensional specifications.Record and maintain quality or traceability information, Cell Boards and other visual management toolsComply with company safety policies including safe operation of equipment, PPE usage, hand tool safety, lock-out-tag-out, and proper storage of tools, etc. Comply with good housekeeping policies.Maintain equipment according to work instructions or preventive maintenance tasks.Suggest improvements and support kaizen and DBS activities.Accurately perform required computer data entry and work order transactions (LOTS, scrap, Oracle, ARIBA, kanban, DRP, etc.).Report complicated equipment malfunctions to mechanics.Perform cycle counting and other inventory tasks, including material handling if required.Maintain visual management of part and raw material storage; clean and organized work area.May be required to cross-train on other equipment or other areas as neededAssist in problem solving of new equipment and products.

The essential requirements of the job include:

HS diploma/GED or equivalent requiredPossess proven mechanical ability or aptitudePossess ability to resolve minor problems, recognize normal and unusual situationsAbility to learn instrument or circuit board assembly (Loveland only), machine operations (including set up and changeover), and/or kitting.Some areas will require the ability to work with manual and/or power equipment.Possess working knowledge of manufacturing processes helpful

The below range reflects the range of possible compensation for this role at the time of this posting. We may ultimately pay more or less than the posted range. This range may be modified in the future. An associate’s position within the salary range will be based on several factors, including, but not limited to, relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, geographic location, performance, shift, travel requirements, sales or revenue-based metrics, any collective bargaining agreements, and business or organizational needs.

The compensation range for this role is $19.00 - $20.82 USD per hour. This job is also eligible for Bonus Pay.
