GENERAL DESCRIPTION 

​​Operator II, Production primary responsibility is to safely package containers following ChemTreat policy and procedures, lend support to Blend Operator and assume responsibilities of Blend Operator when necessary.​ 

 

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS & RESPONSIBILITIES 

​​Package various sizes of finished products into designated containers. 

​Perform basic functions in Ignition, i.e., open/close blend vat valve and initiate rinse cycle.  

​Place appropriate barcodes on finished products, identifying NCM material.​ 

Ensuring materials are available when needed.  Pulling samples for Blend Operator and maintaining communication. 

Blend finished goods products using hazardous and non hazardous materials. 

Notify Production Foreman and Blend Operator of any problems.   

Coordinate information with other departments.   

Ensure all safety equipment is worn and put away. 

Check for accuracy of floor scales.   

Ensure all hoses and other equipment is completely operational and clean. 

Ability to safely operate a forklift. 

SUPPLEMENTAL RESPONSIBILITIES 

​​Daily inspection of forklift. 

​Assist in Production cycle counts. 

​Ensure work area cleaned and organized. 

​Lock access points of entry and turn on/off pumps. 

​Back-up Blend Operator when necessary. 

​Back-up Bulk loader 

​Other duties assigned.​

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE 

​​High School diploma, familiar with OSHA and DOT regulations preferred.​ 

PHYSICAL DEMANDS  

​​Required to sit, walk, stand, climb (includes stairs), balance, stoop, bend, kneel, crouch or crawl, and talk, hear, and smell. 

​Constantly using hands and fingers to handle, feel or operate objects, and computer keyboards.  

​Routinely required to reach with hands and arms, squat, turn/twist, or reach, lift, carry, push, or pull up to 75 pounds and sometimes required to maneuver drums weighing 250-800 pounds 

​Required to be medically cleared to wear a respirator and able to physically access each of the manufacturing operation’s areas to perform the essential job functions. 

​Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus

WORKING CONDITIONS & ENVIRONMENT  

​​This is a specialty chemical blending and packaging facility where hazardous materials are present. 

​Will be subjected to moving mechanical parts, electrical currents, vibrations, fumes, odors, dusts, gases, chemicals, oils, extreme temperatures and work space restrictions.  

​Required to wear the proper Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) which may include: eye, hearing and respiratory protection, protective apron, steel toe shoes, gloves, hard hats, or face shields. 

​The noise level in the work environment is occasionally loud.  

​Contact lenses may not be allowed in some areas.​

The below range reflects the range of possible compensation for this role at the time of this posting. We may ultimately pay more or less than the posted range. This range may be modified in the future. An associate’s position within the salary range will be based on several factors, including, but not limited to, relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, geographic location, performance, shift, travel requirements, sales or revenue-based metrics, any collective bargaining agreements, and business or organizational needs.

The compensation range for this role is $24.62 - $24.62 USD per hour.
