Join our Operations team in Louisville, KY, and contribute to the movement of materials and finished products for our Catalyst Business unit. As an Operator, you should be self-motivated, able to work independently, and possess excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail. This role involves exposure to seasonal elements, a dynamic screening schedule (M-F 8 hour schedule but may work overtime or hours outside of regular breaks). Your daily tasks may also be influenced by shipping priorities and changing circumstances.


Responsibilities

Maintain, communicate, and address issues with a strong focus on safety, environmental, quality assurance, and performance/productivity programs. Unload bulk trucks at the WP site, prioritizing safety and environmental concerns. Perform necessary SAP transactions to bring bulk material into inventory. Manage the screening area for products, ensuring cleanliness, air log submission, and adherence to screening process orders. Tasks include repackaging, screening, and blending. Manage scrap/waste areas, keeping them clean and maintaining low inventory through regular scrap dumping and drum crushing. Conduct regular inventory checks of production support bins. Work independently with minimal supervision and train others as needed. Be willing and able to work flexible and/or extended hours to meet production demands as required. Maintain certifications in Hazardous Waste, forklift operation, and complete assigned OSHA and Clariant courses. Perform other duties as assigned.
 

Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent; some college preferred. Experience with SAP Materials Management/Warehouse Management and working in a warehouse or production environment. Proficiency in PC skills, including Excel, Word, and Teams. Strong problem-solving skills. Excellent attendance and safety record. Valid driver’s license and insurance. Self-motivated with the ability to work independently. Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail for unloading bulk trucks and screening. Willingness to learn new things, as each day brings new challenges. Effective communication skills to interact with various departments.
